Features to know about

Keeps Debris and Water Out: Automatic Slide-Out Protection

The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning keeps the top of your slide clean and dry every time you extend or retract it. It extends automatically with your slide-out to block rain, leaves, and debris that could clog seals or let water into your siding. The black awning fabric and hardware create a clean, finished look while protecting against mildew and water damage that can develop when moisture pools on the slide roof.

Built to Last Outside: Heavy-Duty 13.5-oz Vinyl Fabric

This topper uses premium 13.5-oz vinyl that’s tough enough for constant outdoor use. The seams are heat-welded to prevent leaks, and the fabric won’t crack even in freezing temperatures down to -25°F. That durable build means it stays tight and reliable through changing weather—no stiffening, splitting, or stretching out of shape over time.

Sized Right for Big Slides: 198" Wide with 48" Extension

Made for slide-outs measuring 193" to 198" wide with a 48" extension, this awning gives full coverage across the top of your largest room extension. You’ll need at least 7" of clearance on both sides—14" total if you have two slides next to each other. The awning rail measures 198" long, matching the width of the fabric when it’s fully extended.

Simple Two-Person Install: Hardware and Rail Included

Everything needed for mounting comes in the box—brackets, hardware, and the awning rail. The roller tube already has the fabric attached, so setup is straightforward. The awning rail can be mounted up to 5" above the slide trim, and the self-tapping screws make securing the access plate quick and clean. Once installed, the topper extends and retracts automatically with your slide-out, no extra steps required.

Helps Keep Interiors Cooler: Built-In Shade from the Black Vinyl

Besides keeping out debris, the dark vinyl blocks sunlight to cut down heat on bright days. It provides extra shade that helps your RV stay cooler and more comfortable when parked in direct sun, especially for west-facing setups or desert conditions.

The slide-out awnings were easy to install. One issue I encountered was with one of the set screws. There was excess paint in the threaded hole. I cleaned the threads with a tap and it worked fine.

I have been using my slide awnings for a year now without any issues. I dont have to worry about sticks and pine cones getting on top of my slide outs. It keeps me from having to climb on top of the RV. I highly recommend these to everyone I see.

I received the 121" awning a few months in delay, but this was not etrailer's fault. They kept in constant contact with me and I appreciate that. The awning came on an 18 wheeler and the extruded channel had been bent slightly, but easily fixable. The hardware pack was good and wrapped up nicely. Overall, a great purchase and easy to install like 2 hours with a friend. Watch the video for the installation tips it's very helpful. Definitely worth it!

It looks like you nailed it with the install! I'm in "aw"ning, haha. Do you have any install tips you learned when you put on the awning?

@BrookeM Have two tall ladders a good friend and a 12 pack of your favorite beverage. Also, make sure you have square bits for the hardware. It's not sent with #2 Phillips screws. Other than that, a straight forward install! Watch the video...helps a ton!

The solera slide toppers are the best! Mounting is very easy, just make sure to have two people with you. I did a 67" myself, but it was difficult feeding it into the track.

Glad you like it! And having more than one person is definitely a good idea. These things get pretty long and awkward. What did you install this on?

by:
Product is as expected. The product was received with scratches on the metal mounting brackets. This is disappointing since the brackets are 100% visible. I will try some wax to hide or diminish unsightliness. Improved packaging suggested. Directions for install were acceptable and there were online resources.

Purchased this for our new 2025 Winnebego 2108DB trailer as a self install. Installation was very easy, easy enough I could install it almost completely without help. I did need a helper when fitting the roller into the brackets. Included instructions were clear and easy to follow. Since this is a new install, I can't comment on the durability of this accessory, but time will tell, it looks like it's of good quality.

After a year of use, the slide topper awning still looks and works great. Youd never know it wasnt a factory install. So far, no signs the Arizona sun is deteriorating the fabric, although I try to treat it with 303 Protectant, and keep the trailer covered when not in use. Still very happy with my purchase.

Perfect addition to our 2025 Lance Squire 1995. Took less than an hour for me to prep and mount the brackets and less than an hour for my son and I to mount the awning and clean up.

Fairly simple to install if you have a decent amount of handyman skills. Instructions could be better. Love how they turned out. Little insurance for my slide outs. Hope they last.

@LazerS Thank you for the kind words. I would have done better if it was someone else’s! I will be heading to the Lonestar Motorcycle Rally in a couple weeks.

Delivery went well, slight damage to tube, contents were fine. Install was pretty simple, following video from etrailer. Very pleased with quality of topper n look of it on our Camper which is a 2021 Keystone Passport. I've ordered a few things from etrailer n haven't ever had an issue.

Couldnt be happier with slide out topper. Keeping waterdebri off slide out, protecting seal which was the goal. Not one issue with item, working great after 1 yr n probably for years to come.

I went camping to find in the morning that our slide topper had come apart in the middle. We have only a few trips out with it. This is clearly a part that was not glued properly or the glue failed and allowed the material to slide out in the middle. Really disappointed!
by:
Worst customer service ever. It took 6 different people to correct etrailer’s mistake even having to explain over and over their own part numbers they managed to get it wrong, they shipped me multiple different parts that were incorrect parts over and over. I finally order the proper parts from a different vendor who got it right the very first time. You will later be inundated with dozens of requests to “tell us how we did” well, etrailer did a crap job and are over priced too. They never stop harassing you to do reviews either
by:
Only complaint is the shipping tube lost one metal end and other end was all bent up. Need better ends for shipping tube. By this the awning end paint was scratched up! Lucky I didn’t lose any parts on the opened end of tube!
by:
I have been completely satisfied with the support I receive from etrailer. I always get online to browse the catalog for what I need and then call Will to verify what I intend to order. He expertly walks me through the pros and cons of what I am getting and how that affects my needs. I am always pleasantly surprised by the variety and volume of parts and equipment that is available for anything from my equipment trailers to my camper.

Excellent Customer Service…Excellent product
by:
The awning design is poor and does not work as indicated. The fabric is weak and Water builds up in a pool causing unnecessary weight on the slide out. Would definitely would not buy again!
by:
While we love the slide out on our travel trailer, that is nothing but a potential problem. Leaves and debris lay on top and eventually prevent a good seal when closed, water pooling and potential leaking...and the list goes on.

We made the decision to buy and self install the Solera Slide Topper. The topper arrived in a large, well packed cardboard tube. All parts were present. It took my wife and I about 1:45 minutes to complete the installation. We are super pleased with how it turned out and have no complaints at all. Once again...eTrailer to the rescue!

I will note a couple of things that buyers/installers need to be aware of. While none of these are a deal breaker...knowledge is power. Some of the hardware (screws) are not painted black. After installation, I took a can of black spray paint and sprayed a little in a paper cup and used a Q-tip to apply the paint to the unpainted heads. The other thing is the tension. Wow...that is one strong spring! I found that the tension was so tight that it actually prevented the top of the slide out from fully extending. I knew this because before installing it I actually felt how tight the inside seal was against the interior wall when the slide was out. After the install I could easily slip my fingers between the inside trailer wall and the slideout seal. I ended up unwinding the spring by two full turns. After that, the slideout seal was firm against the interior wall! Yea! The awning itself was still very taunt and without sag.

A word of caution about removing the spring keeper pin or unwinding the arm. Make sure you FULLY understand what you are doing. That is NOT something you want to mess up on. While we had no problems in doing this...I am familiar with spring loaded rotational forces and understand the instant damage they can do!

Very pleased...and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to cover and protect your slide out!

Our slide-out awning is still functioning perfectly. Since I had loosened the tension a bit I was concerned about it maintaining good tension over time. No problem. Still perfect! There is no noted degradation of the canopy or hardware. Thanks!

A friend and I installed this topper today on a Winnebago 2101DS travel trailer. It took a little over one hour and we didn't run into any real problems. One thing the instructions said to do was to mount the hex aluminum bar in the end bracket using a self tapping 1/4-20 screw. Seemed almost impossible to do so I used a 1/4-20 tap. Worked fine.
Once the slide topper is squared away and goes in and out properly the paper instructions want you to install a black self tapping screw in the fabric slot within 1" of the end of the fabric. I didn't like the idea of running the screw through the fabric. I had some black tubing from another project which I used for the block to keep the slide fabric from moving.
The topper seems to be high quality and certainly will provide additional protection from the elements. This is definitely a two man job and my friend was great help. When we were sliding the fabric into the slide topper rail we found the best way was for me to be on the roof supporting the topper while my friend guided the fabric into the rail slot.
