This Solera RV Slide-Out Awning shields the top of your room extension from leaves, twigs, and pooling water. It extends and retracts automatically with your slide-out, so you never have to sweep debris before bringing the slide in. By keeping the roof surface clean and dry, it helps prevent mold and moisture from finding their way inside.

The tough 13.5-oz vinyl fabric is made for long-term outdoor use. Its seams are heat-welded to stop leaks, and the material resists cracking even in temperatures down to -25°F. With its white fabric and matching white hardware, it blends well while standing up to rain, sun, and cold without fading or stiffening.

Designed for slide-outs measuring 164"–169" wide with a 48" extension, this awning gives you full coverage across the top of your room. The awning rail is 169" long, and you’ll need at least 7" of clearance on each side for proper fit. If space is tighter, going one size down still provides plenty of protection.
Everything needed comes in the box—brackets, hardware, and awning rail. The roller tube already has the fabric mounted, so you just secure the brackets with self-tapping screws and slide the roller into place. The awning rail mounts up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box for solid anchoring.

Once installed at a slight angle away from the wall, rainwater runs right off instead of sitting on top. This prevents stretching or warping of the vinyl and keeps your awning looking sharp season after season.

I have been using my slide awnings for a year now without any issues. I dont have to worry about sticks and pine cones getting on top of my slide outs. It keeps me from having to climb on top of the RV. I highly recommend these to everyone I see.

It looks like you nailed it with the install! I'm in "aw"ning, haha. Do you have any install tips you learned when you put on the awning?

Glad you like it! And having more than one person is definitely a good idea. These things get pretty long and awkward. What did you install this on?

Product is functionally working great. Paint and wax were required to diminish visible scratches.

After a year of use, the slide topper awning still looks and works great. Youd never know it wasnt a factory install. So far, no signs the Arizona sun is deteriorating the fabric, although I try to treat it with 303 Protectant, and keep the trailer covered when not in use. Still very happy with my purchase.

I think you are selling yourself a little short, Michael. Install looks like it was done by the manufacturer! Great job! Any more trips planned for the year?

Couldnt be happier with slide out topper. Keeping waterdebri off slide out, protecting seal which was the goal. Not one issue with item, working great after 1 yr n probably for years to come.

Our slide-out awning is still functioning perfectly. Since I had loosened the tension a bit I was concerned about it maintaining good tension over time. No problem. Still perfect! There is no noted degradation of the canopy or hardware. Thanks!

There are a few things you can try to tighten up your awning, but the tensioner will not have a manual adjuster, unfortunately. First, I suggest checking all your bolts and or screws to make sure they are all this tight. If they have loosened over time, it can cause some droopage. Next, you can pull the awning off and let it unwind. This sounds highly counterintuitive, but it will then allow you to roll it back up. The tension may have loosened as well and this can sometimes tighten things up a bit. The only other thing Lippert, who is the parent company of Solera Awnings, has recommended is to open the awning all the way on a warm or hot day and then wetting the fabric with cold water and then letting it fully dry for 15 minutes. This can help tighten up the fabric some times.
