Today we're going be taking a look at the Valterra bug screen for RV's. This bug screen is going to be great for RV furnaces, water heaters and battery vents. It's very easy to install. It's made from a heavy duty stainless steel construction. It's going to do a great job at keeping our unwanted pests like nesting insects, birds, and rodents. It offers minimal air flow restriction.
It's going to include one screen, one installation tool, and two spring fasteners. Taking a look at the dimensions real quick. Going edge to edge this direction is 4 1/2 inches, other direction is also 4 1/2 inches. Then the depth, it's going to measure about 1 and 5/16ths of an inch deep. Now it's always a good idea to inspect your screens monthly and clean them when necessary to help maintain proper air flow. When you're ready to install your screen, you want to position your screen over the vent louvers and determine the best locations to install the springs. Now on the spring itself you're going to notice that one end is open.
The other end has a cross bar that runs across it. The cross bar end connects to the vent, the open end connects to the screen. Now the best place to hook this spring connector is below the louvers on the flat part of the panel, and that's of the vent. The other end of the spring is going to connect to the screen. Then you can simply use the included tool. This is going to help stretch this spring and easily hook this spring onto the vent louvers. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra bug screen for RV's..

Great service. Thank you.
Excellent quality component. I havent determined the best way to mount it on our heater yet.
Looks like it's built to last.Have not installed yet but very confident in heavy gauge material. Definitely going to order more parts from you
Easy to install. Just make sure when using the tool when you insert go through the center of the spring. Then hook up easy.
Easily installed to jeep bugs out!
Great fit, easy to install.
Stayed in place for a year now. No issues.
Would not stay in place with the springs provided
Not a perfect fit, but works Well enough to help keep the mud daubers out.
Fantastic !
I cannot rate because the size is ok, but cannot install in my Jayco Redhawk RV because has other components that makes difficult to install and will be returning them.

You mentioned that you were not able to install due to other components and I wanted to ask to see if you could explain in more details.

Putting the bug screens with the Springs is dificult, Springs stay loose, but I figure out that if I remove the base of the vents and put thin wires from the inside out of the heater and furnace vents corners or on top or bottom of the screens, I can tighten the tips of the wires over the screens and it will keep the bug screen tighten enough without using the springs,, those are options I got and I think it will work, so will try that, thank you!
Awesome service quick shipping

Screen came in good condition. Easy to install. Dometic 6 gal. water heater.
Excellent product. A bit fiddly to install the spring retainers, but once you figure it out it goes smoothly enough.
And they do keep nest-building bugs out.
Installation was relatively easy, instructions were straight forward and easy to follow.
Works great on a 2021 Jayco Jay Feather 24BH
The screen is great. Nice and sturdy. Easy to install. I used this on the left side of the heater door. Part number A10-1323VP for the right side.
The retaining clips, not so much. On paper, this was probably a good idea, but I could not get the clip to stay connected. I ended up using a role of small medium gauge wire to hold this in place and now the screen is locked in place.
Good fit. Not too difficult to install. Just recently put them on. Haven’t traveled with them on.
Easy to install. Better than welding cross braces.
Fast delivery very easy to order very good follow up as to where my order is at

Very well not one bug ever got in were they didn’t belong

The installation proved a bit more complicated than anticipated. The tool provided some help but the attachment with springs did not prove secure enough to believe it would survive rough back country roads.
Installs and functions as expected. Used to cover the furnace exhaust on my travel trailer. Been installed 1 year with many miles and camping events with no issues. Pretty much an indispensable item for your RV.

The vent screen continues to function as expected and does the job of keeping the RVs furnace vent free of obstructions and mud daubers.

Works well. I ordered two sizes assuming I could use on different vents. One size worked perfectly, the other didnt so I will repurpose it.
