What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we've been checking out this bug screen from Ultra-Fab, so it's gonna go over the vents on your rig to keep bugs from getting in there, making a mess or causing issues down the line. Let's check it out. These are small enough to maybe let some gnats in, but otherwise any other kind of bugs like a wasp, or a moth or even flies, would not be able to get through any of this mesh. Held in the place by two springs that connect to the mesh, so it's not permanently mounted. You don't have to use any sealant on it or drill any any holes.
Really easy to put on there or take off and replace if you need to do that. As far as install goes, it's pretty easy. All you need is the tool that's included with the kit, and then you can just attach it. Check out how I did it. You're gonna get the spring that attaches it, the screen, and then the tool to attach the spring.
One thing about the spring is look for the part that has that in the middle, 'cause that's what you're gonna push the tool up. You see the groove here and the tool, that's what you run through the spring. I'll do it out here so you can actually see it, and hit that center beam for the lack of a better term and that's gonna help you push out the spring. We need to go attach it. So that's how you could see it a little bit better than what we're gonna do here.
We'll attach the other side that doesn't have that center beam to the screen, so you just run it through pretty easily like that. Then we can run the tool through the holes in the screen. Now on this side, the tool's gonna hit that center part of the spring and allow me to push it through so we can attach it now to the side of a rig. Push it in place, push it down, now our first one's attached. I'm gonna repeat that same process on the bottom one.
Overall, really easy to install, and very helpful to have just in case something goes wrong, you can easily replace it and keep any of the bugs or debris out from any of the vents just so you don't have any problems down the line. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helps.
