Hey everybody. Jared at etrailer.com Today, I want to talk about the steel rubbers, RV insert trim. 7/8 inch, 25 foot length. The DPDM rubber, advanced rubber trim, that protects the RV from weather, impact and scuffs, will not shrink, crack, or fade over time. It's resistant to UV exposure. It snaps in place for easy installation.
And the snap-in rubber insert trim, replaces trim molding, and covers screw tracks on RV's, Marine, and utility vehicles. It fits 3/4 inch tracks in moldings. This stuff is heavy duty. Be careful how and when you cut it for a cold day versus a hot day as it expands and contracts
So superior to the vinyl stuff. It's been on a year and hasn't shrunk or discolored. Glad I bought it.

I replaced the split and peeling vinyl trim with this rubber material. The install was a little work as the material was stiff when cold. However once installed it fit nicely and provides a very clean appearance. It also appears the material will be much more durable than the OEM vinyl. I used about 70 ft to cover the screw track on a Forest River -Grey Wolf limited 22R.

I was worried about the fit. But it was perfect. Way better replacement product than the original. Not cheaply made like what forest river used.
These were just installed so I don't have any feedback on the longevity of this trim, but it installed well once we got our technique down. We weren't sure about switching from white trim to black, but we actually like how it looks. We expect it will last longer than the original vinyl strips (Which was about 5 years)!

Real rubber molding, heavy duty, tough to get in but should last. Previous cheap vinyl molding used before would just come out on the next trip. This appears to be well made, should stay in and not crack or break.
Much much better than the original. Thick soft rubber instead of plastic. I found it was much easier to install after it was out in the warm sun. Great product.

I've used a rubber type previously but that has deteriorated and has softened. The Steele Rubber trim is far superior in thickness and firmness. Literally snaped into place once I cleaned and aligned the molding. Great product!
When the original vinyl trim came off my RPod, I had it replaced multiple times because it kept falling off. Read about this rubber trim on an RPod website and it has been great!!!! Have had it over a year with endcaps. Would not bother with the vinyl.....
