Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer. Today, we're gonna take a look at the RV designer quarter-inch by 1 3/4-inch safety lock pin. Now, if you want to keep your coupler latch secure, this safety lock pin right here is designed to help keep your coupler securely latched during transit. Sometimes, this is also called a snapper pin just because of the way it hooks and unhooks, snaps into place. This will help prevent accidental uncoupling while you're towing.

Now, the snapper pins will give you the security of a pin and cotter combination in a single assembly. Basically, to install this, you'll just pull off the spring portion right here, slide this pin through the hole in your coupler latch. Once it goes all the way through, swing this down, latch it into place, and it'll secure it and keep that latch from coming uncoupled. Now, to choose the correct size for your coupler, you wanna measure the diameter of the pin pinhole that's on your coupler and the width of the coupler where the pin goes through. This one here is designed to fit a quarter inch pinhole.

That's the diameter of the pin right here. And then the usable length this will work on is measured inside. Inside here is 1 3/4 inches. This is a durable slink plated spring steel construction for reliable use. And it does include one lock pin.
