Welcome back, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at a simple part, just a replacement hand crank for your Thule HideAway awnings. That's right, folks, this is pretty simple, just your replaceable hand crank, again, for your Thule HideAway awnings. Now, I will show you here in the closeup, you get a nice little adjustable locking nut here, you simply unlock that. That would then let you expand this out as far as you need to. Then you'd simply just tighten it back up on this threaded rod.
Now, I'll try to zoom out here and show you maybe a little demonstration, but, you know, that's basically about how long it's gonna go. And it's got the nice little ends here, that's gonna hook into your awning mechanism to crank it down. It's got the nice little roller here to simply turn it like that. Let me shorten this real quick, so I don't hit anything. All right, so you get it locked down, and again, just your simple, basic operation.
Again, not much to explain here, pretty simple operation. That's the handle, and that's the little spinner that you would hold whenever you're cranking. So again, you get that awning cranked up or cranked down, and then you're able to sit under the shade and enjoy a nice cold one, right Everybody likes doing that. I had been looking for one of these bayonet type openers for sometime. I have a 1991 Winnebago and I haven’t been able to open the canopy since I bought it two years ago, so I don’t know what it’s gonna be like, but I’m very excited to be able to open it! Unfortunately, it’s raining today so I can’t do it, but I did try to see if the canopy would move and it did start to open!
Only issue was in the packaging. The box could’ve been taped a little bit more the item was falling out has it came to my door. But I will definitely keep this company in my Favorites list and will definitely purchase from them again.
I ordered the first one on the 1st of July but it never showed up finally did show up 10 days late and I refused it etrailer sent me another one UPS before I received the one from USPS and I had it in 2 days that's how you do business great job e-trailer I'll be shopping with you again thanks for everything
