Video Transcript for Review of RV Designer RV Interior Lights - Surface Mount 12V RV LED Puck Light - RD34SR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV designer Surface Mount 12 Volt LED Puck Light. Now this is a compact puck style light that's really meant for adding interior lighting in those smaller or tighter spaces. This is going to mount directly onto the surface, so you're not gonna have to worry about cutting into anything. So that's gonna make insulation pretty straightforward.

As you can see, I do have this connected to my 12 volt power supply. You can see just how bright this is with my bright studio lights on. But I'm gonna turn my studio lights off just to give you a better demonstration. And I'm gonna shine this on my table here. So as you can see, this really does have a nice, a nice angle of light that it casts, if I could put it that way.

What makes this stand out is the wise beam design. It has a frosted lens, so that means that instead of getting a harsh direct light, this is gonna spread the light out evenly and it's going to give you a softer, more comfortable glow. The beam angle is 180 degrees, so it's going to cover a wide area instead of just a narrow spot. Lemme see if I can give you a closer view here. So you can see that frosted lens.

It's not going to be harsh, and since it's used as LEDs, the energy is gonna be efficient and reliable. It puts out about 396 lumens, which is a solid amount of light for its size. And the color temperature is 3,200 kelvin. So the light is on the warmer side, as I hope you could have seen. It's not too yellow, but it's definitely not that bright blue, white light either.

And so it's gonna be a good middle ground that's gonna work well in living spaces. You can see the two wire installation here. And just to confirm the measurement there, as you can see, the diameter is right at about four and a half inches. So overall it's gonna be a pretty simple installation. I'm just popping the lens off here so you can see the inside, but it's a great light for its size. I think it puts out quite a bit of light, so I think that's good.
