Will Torklift GlowStep Revolution Uprising Steps Work for You?
Fold-down steps are typically installed on travel trailers and some RVs. The fold-down steps from Torklift lift up to latch into your camper's doorway for storage. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Torklift revolution Uprising Steps install inside your camper's doorframe. Measuring for this may seem tricky, but once you know what to look for, figuring out the right fit for your RV doorway is easy.
First, you will need to measure the doorsill plate, both the height and the clearance between it and the bottom of the door. For the Revolution Uprising steps to fit, the doorsill height should be between 5/8" and 3/4", and the clearance should be at least 3/8".
Next measure between the door frame flanges - the doorway width - to determine the step size that will fit into your camper's doorway. You will need a doorway that is at least 26" wide for these steps to work.
If it turns out you have a narrower doorway, there are smaller step assemblies available that fit 24" wide doorways. A full list of the available steps is below.
The doorway threshold will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To decide on how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, and it will tell you how many steps you need.
The chart below displays entry height measurement ranges in the first column. If you determined you need a mounting bracket that fits a 24" doorway, the step part numbers with that width are in the second column. If you determined you need a bracket that fits a 26" doorway, the step part numbers with that width are in the third column. Choose the doorway width that is closest to your measurements without going over.
This page's step assembly is in bold text.
| Entry Height | 24" Doorways | 26" Doorways | 28" Doorways |

Hey everybody, Jared at etrailer.com. Today I want to take a quick look at the GlowStep Revolution Uprising steps three plus one bonus step by TorkLift. That was going to be designed for your RVs and campers that do not have a step well. Now you can easily bolt them right into the doorframe which bolting them into a 26 inch doorframe avoids the vulnerability of possible water damage from drilling holes into your floor, which also upholds the value of your RV. Now, these steps are made with aircraft grade aluminum. They have stainless steel fasteners which makes him very stable and completely rust proof.
It does have a user-friendly step design. If we consider the dimensions of these steps it's 21 inches in width, eight inches in depth and one inch in height. Now, the riser, which is going to be the distance from one step to the other, how far you have to lift your leg to go to the next step is going to be at seven and a half inches. And it does have this built-in SureGrip tread on the step surface that's going to provide excellent footing. And this product also employs unique landing gear that will adjust and be stable in any terrain.
It's going to allow for seven and a half inches of total adjustments and 7/8" increments and does have a maximum height on the first step would the 12.5 inches if fully extended and which it is right now. Now this alternate option also includes a booster step which is an additional bonus step that can be used for it to gain a bit more height into your camper if you need it. Right now, the booster step is employed to show what it looks like when the steps are fully expanded. Now, these unique pullout steps make it easy to see when you're stepping in the middle of the night. And as they feature low taper here to the sides which are going to glow in the dark for up to 10 hours after only five minutes of light exposure.
Let's go ahead and see what they look like. Now, if we consider the doorway entry height, it is required that you have 27-3/8" up to 34-7/8" of height in order to use these steps. And also it can expand up to 12 inches as a minimum and also at the 48 inches as a maximum. Now, even though there is a 10 step installation process TorkLift sends detailed instructions along with mounting hardware that's required for relatively simple install. Alright, well, that's a look at our GlowStep Revolution Uprising steps, three plus one by TorkLift.
I'm Jared with etrailer.com. You have a good one..
Very good product and company to do business with.
This was very easy to install. Worked just like I wanted it to.
Easy install. Solved our lack of space issues while stored at home. Quality product. Packaging was horrible
Bought 2 items from you. Both worked well. I would recommend this company to other people
Awesome steps. Easy install and easy to use. Very sturdy.
Everything went well and customer service was on point
Surprisingly easy to install with very good instructions.
Love the way they work.
Poorly packaged
Entry bracket was bent
Where steps mount was bent and broke the weld
Had to reweld it
The package was not in the best shape upon arrival, but the steps appear to be unharmed. The installation instructions were laid out nicely and very clear.
Took me an hour to install the steps on our Winnebago Mini Drop WD1710. They fit with no alterations to the door frame.
They are sturdy and much easier and safer to enter and exit than the original single floating step.
The steps worked great. Good concept but unfortunately my wife could not raise them up by herself so we had to go back to the strut assisted steps that came with our RV.
One of the better accessories we've added to the trailer. Makes life easy unwinding and rewinding the bulky 50a cord. Easy install.live it !
Disappointed that one os the legs has no rubber stops. ALSO something as simple as quality nuts for the bolts. I had to go to home depot to buy more since three of them wouldnd even go on the boltFor the money these cost there is really no excuse.Probably should have give it a three considering the way the ups driver through the box on my porch when the box clearly states fragile. I did get it installed and it does work as described. How about sending some rubber stops for the feet.
Just finished the installation. I replaced Mor-Ryde steps, which came stock in our Grand Design. The original steps are good, but we had Torkilifts on out prior camper and really liked them. They are sturdy and the level of the camper is not an issue anymore when wanting to open the camper door wit the Mor-Ryde steps. Definitely would recommend. (They are pricey, but it is a quality item.)
