Today we're going to be taking a look the Valterra City Water and Gravity Fill Inlet lockable hatch for RVs. This unit's going to allow you to add or replace the hatch for the city water inlet and gravity fill inlet on your RV. It's going to feature the lockable hatch that's going to come with 2 keys. The lock core is already installed on there. Now the keys are keyed alike. We're also going to include a nice little thumb launch mechanism that can replace the lock core if you'd rather use that option. The unit's also going to feature a sliding door that allows your water hose to pass through with the main hatch door in the closed position.
That opening's going to measure and inch and a quarter wide, and from that lip to the opening's going to measure one and seven sixteenths of an inch tall. If we take a look on the inside, you'll notice that it exposes the connections. This one right here is for the gravity fill. It's got the nice threaded cap with the tether that's included. Right here is the city water connection.
It has the plug with the tether on there as well. The threaded connector design is going to allow you to easily attach it to your water hose, and it's going to offer the appropriate seals for leak proof performance. Again, the cap is included for that connector as well. Down there at the bottom is going to be the air vent. That's going to let you know when the tank is full, and it's going to allow air to escape to keep pressure from building up inside the fresh water tank. That's going to have a wire mesh screen over that area to keep unwanted items out.
Taking a look at the overall dimensions real quick. It's going to give us an overall width measurement of about seven and five eighths of an inch, overall height measurement six and a half inches. Now this does require a cut out. Your cut out's going to need to measure five and seven eighths of an inch wide by four and three quarters of an inch tall. Here on the back, you're going to notice the connectors.
This one right here is going to be the plastic half inch male pipe thread fitting that's going to connect to the RV plumbing connection for fresh water. You're going to have the inch and a quarter barbed connection that connects to the RV connection for the gravity fill, and you're going to have your half inch air vent connection. The kit comes with your installation putty tape, your pipe thread tape, thumb latch mechanism, two keyed alike keys, and it's going to come with the necessary installation hardware. Those screw heads are painted to match the color of the hatch. You'll also notice that the mount holes that go around the flange right here, they go around that perimeter, they're going to be covered by that main hatch door. The housing itself is constructed of a durable UV stabilized plastic construction, and that's going to be black in color. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra City Water and Gravity Fill Inlet lockable hatch for Rvs.

This product was an exact match to the one on my trailer. Since installing it last year we have had no problems with it, works great no more water leaks when hooked up to city water supply.
The Service and products have been amazing !!!
I like the brass connections because they will last longer under the vibrations that occur in travel trailers on the road.
This works well for my toy hauler. Fit right in the space from the old one. I had a plastic hose connector, which broke, wanted to replace it with this brass one. My intention was to remove this brass piece and put it into the old set up, but it is not removable, so I just swapped the whole system. Looks good. Happy with it so far.
The customer service has been great. I called and discussed what I was looking for and they were extremely helpful in getting me the correct part. I ordered while I was on the phone. It came fast and secure.
Thanks
Order arrived well packaged. Its made of a hard plastic, maybe ABS? Its cutout needs to be larger than my original fill, which has both city water and fill inlets but with no cover. It needed about 2" cut from bottom or top of hole. Easy to do with a skill saw. Came with lock, two keys, enough butyl tape for perimeter of mounting area, black screwzls ro match cover and teflon tape for the brass threaded connection. Im happy with the quality and all the included supplies. Id buy again, although price is quite steep.
Perfect for my custom built skargo trailer works flawlessly on my maiden 6 week voyage thru NM, Co, Utah and back to Texas. I prefer the peace of mind of the lock so nobody but me can control the contents of my water supply.
The product was exactly what I was expecting....it fit great as a replacement.....
The only gripe I had was the amount of butyl tape supplied with it....It was only enough to go around the top and two sides....nothing left for the bottom...On purpose? Maybe, to let water drain if need be....Also the butyl tape was barely thick enough.....I had extra on hand and did use it.....
It arrived early . , Thanks , S.Kuteman
Product was shipped quickly.
Works great! Adding a water system to my InTech Flyer Pursue and choose this for having both the gravity fill and city water hookup. Pretty simple installation, comes with everything you need.
Works exactly as it’s supposed to. I installed it about a year ago in my cargo trailer camper conversion and I’ve had no problems at all.
The fitment and quality of the city/gravity valves was spot on. Installed and tested in 30 minutes. Works great,no leaks. Joshua B at e trailer was great. You guys never disappoint!
I installed this in my 1999 Ford E350 ambulance-to-camper conversion last year. I needed a way to both fill the tank with a hose when at home, or a jug when boondocking, and have a city water connection when in developed campgrounds. The checkvalve prevents the water pump from pumping the water in the tank back out the filler. The lock is nice to prevent tampering too.
I installed it but I won’t know until spring if it works.
Components are cheap and didn’t last 1 season
Have not tried the pump yet so cannot give the full 5 stars, however everything else was great
Prompt service and everything showed up as promised
If needed, I will use your service again, Thank You
This item was a perfect fit for our 2005 Keystone Montana. We had a bad leak and the rep I spoke with made sure we got a replacement in the minimum amount of time.
