Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV Waste Valve. This unit simply adds or replaces a waste valve on your RV's waste system. It's made from a strong and durable black plastic construction. It does come with the end cap for the drain outlet. The cap is going to be tethered to the unit so that way you don't accidentally lose it or misplace it. The connection point here will accept a standard 3-inch diameter drain hose with a bayonet-style fitting on it. Bayonet-style fitting is a very strong connection point, makes for a nice tight seal, and this is going to have the 4-prong attachment design.
The other side, this is going to connect to your RV's plumbing system. Now, internally, it's going to have the threads on it, so this is going to accept a 3-inch threaded plumbing pipe. If we take an internal measurement real quick of just that diameter, that's going to give us a measurement of about 3-1/4 inches, and again, the inside of that connection point is threaded. Overall, it's a nice strong durable design. It's already preassembled. All the hardware is included.
To get the cap back on, simply place it on there and you just twist it until you can't twist it anymore. Those prongs engage right here in those connection points. On the top, we're going to have the easily accessible T-handle. That makes opening and closing the gate quick and easy, just like that. Now, also internally there's going to be seals that are already installed and that's going to offer a leak-proof performance. A measurements I want to go over with you real quick.
We're just going to take a look at the overall length with the handle in the closed position. That looks like it's going to give us a measurement of right around 9-1/2 inches, and then with it fully extended, that's going to increase the overall measurement to right around 13 inches long. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV Waste Valve.
