Cover protects the roof vent on your RV or enclosed trailer from rain and snow. Wing-shaped louvers allow maximum airflow through the removable grille. White opaque thermoplastic blocks sunlight.

A vent cover encloses your RV's roof vent, to protect it from the elements. The cover blocks rain and snow from getting inside your RV through the vent. This way, you can leave your vent open in bad weather. The cover also protects the vent and its lid from wind damage, so you can leave the vent open even while driving the RV on the highway.
The grille at the back of the cover blocks animals and tree branches while allowing air to flow through. This is true of any vent cover, but the design of the grille can make a difference in the amount of airflow.
Unlike covers that have flat, slanted louvers that can block airflow, the Ultra Breeze grille has wing-shaped louvers. This patent-pending design allows 95 to 100 percent of available airflow through its grille. So you can cover your vent without sacrificing air circulation. The grille is also easily removable for cleaning.
This cover fits over all Dometic FanTastic trailer roof vents as well as many other standard and high-powered roof vents that require a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening in the roof.
If your existing vent is screwed onto your roof, you will not need to drill holes to install this cover. Simply use the existing screws on each side of your vent and some caulk to attach the 4 mounting brackets included with the Ultra Breeze. Then secure the cover to the brackets with the included hardware.

Wry happy with this fan cover. We’re using it in a bit of a no -standard way, we have an A-liner hardside popup so we have to install it one direction for towing, then swap it 180 degrees before popping the trailer to the upright position. Fortunately it’s a piece of cake to do and the provided plastic connectors go in and out easily while holding it solidly in place during travel. Will those connectors wear out over time? Probably, but they’re easy to replace if so.
Prompt order responses, arrived early, arrived undamaged. We have two Fantastic vent fans that had old MaxAirIII covers that needed to be replaced. We bought two new MaxAirIII covers locally with the expectation that we could use the existing hardware, making for a 15-minute replacement. However, the new MaxAirIII covers were two inches smaller than the original covers which required replacing the mounting hardware. I mounted these in three different positions on the Fantastic fans but I couldn't get them placed without interference when the fan lid was opened. I bought these Dometic covers which installed easily. I should have bought them first instead of being lazy. The quality is great, they look great, and it's nice to be able to use the existing screws that mount the fan body to also mount the cover hardware.
We put this on our AS so we can leave a roof vent open in the rain at camp. Moisture and humidity is a big problem in the South. The cover is pretty solid and the mounting was pretty straightforward, I didn’t need to do any major sealing to install it. And in general I’m happy with it. Two comments:
1. It’s butt ugly. It’s translucent and lets a little light in but it looks old-milk-jug yellow against the other white camper hardware. And it doesn’t look very streamlined. I spray painted it with appliance epoxy paint and it helped but it will eventually chip off.
2. The grill is supposed to have better flow, advertised as aerodynamic but I saw no evidence of that. And in a heavy rain some splashing gets through.
I’m still looking for a better retrofit, but it’s getting the job done for now.

I ordered this to replace a Fantastic Fan version that blew off in a windstorm. It fits perfectly and looks good.
Exactly what we needed. Your having details, sizing, good pictures at all angles and parts shown and listed very much helps. The more details the better.
Purchased the Fantastic Fan vent cover with the fan. Installation was simple and quick. We can leave the vent open and the fan on even when it rains. Great product!
Consider purchasing the flying insect screen that snaps on to this.
The full product arrived on time, but is yet to be installed.

Great fan cover for most any trailer fan. Dont forget the bug screen. Most fans will have a fan blade screen, but the cover screen is to keep out the wasps & other larger pests from nesting.

This unit binds the vent cover at the top of it’t open position. The vent cover broke. While etrailer is fulfilling their commitment to replace the cover, there is no assurance this will not happen again.
Happy to find a vent that considers the roof vent lid in the open position. We used them on both vents. One with the fan and one without since the allow the vent door to be fully opened. Can be a little labor intensive to install depending on your camper roof material. Happy with this product over more popular brands.

We have traveled over 3000 miles with the vents since their purchase. They look like new and no problems in all those miles of highway wind.
So...after reading other reviews I picked this item at random. I'm happy with the overall construction...seems to be a bit heavier (thicker, stronger maybe) plastic. The included instructions were a bit vague, with not very helpful pictures. It's mostly a no-brainer anyway. Simple install and I really like that it 's so easy to remove. (for cleaning or whatever reason. I was concerned that it's not sealed to the roof, but my concern turned out to be unfounded. The day after installing 2 units I was in a heavy downpour while driving on the highway. I opened both vents(one of them a Fantastic Fan) and never got one drip. REALLY nice to be able to open the vents when it's raining. We all know how stuffy it can get. Sold! We'll see how well they hold up to our Arizona sun.
Good price from e trailer...my favorite retailer that I usually use was trying to get rich.
Only thing I would suggest is packaging for shipping should be better. UPS gave them their usual "dainty" handling with smashed corners, etc. but a testimony to the vents...they were undamaged.

Great! no issues of any kind
I use this on a max fan so I had to cut grind and modify it to fit.
This item is listed and recomended by etrailer as the correct vent cover for the MAXXAIR Fanmate 4K series Vents. IT IS NOT! The MAXXAIR Fanmate 4K series fans have a built in mount to attach the corresponding cover to. These Are generic mount covers, that include their own mounting hardware. Even the mounting holes on this cover don't line up, and they are not the same as the MAXXAIR vent cover.
Other than that it is a decent basic vent cover.

After one year I am still glad I purchased the cover. No issues, as I would expect with a quality product.
Wow! Arrived in 2 days. It seems Dometic bought out fastastic fan since these covers fit perfectly. All the parts arrived and installation was per directions and easy. I left the rain auto close feature wired but this makes it nice to open the vent when I want, even when it rains. I installed on a 2000 Country Coach Intrigue.
If you own an RV with a Fantastic fan then you need the Ultra Breeze vent cover. Perfect fit and only took about 15 mins to install. Lets you open your fantastic fan about 2/3 which is plenty.
Great price as well.

We have been looking for a white vent cover and were unable to locate except from strainer. Exactly what we need for our Dometic Fantastic Fan. Have not installed yet. Waiting for spring.
