RV Roof Maintenance Over the Years

Most RV roofs will last around 30 years, but after about 10 years, it's a good idea to start looking closely for leaks, cracks, or other damage that may lead to replacement of the entire roof. For the best results and the longest-lasting roof, it's best to check the seals and edges of the rooftop at least once a year.

Over time, parts of your RV will begin to wear down, especially the roof which receives daily beatings from all weather conditions. In these spots you'll begin to see holes or cracks appear. To prevent leaking and further damage to your RV, you can use Quick Roof's patch kit for roof membranes. The kit includes 2 small patches, 2 cleaning wipes, and a plastic applicator. After cleaning the surface, peel the backing off the patch and lay it over the tear or crack. The applicator helps you smooth out any bubbles that appear.

I paid extra for early delivery, that didn’t happen. I received it at my billing address instead of the address I requested. YUK!

The material looks like it will hold up. Adhesive is very sticky. Simple to us. It comes with 2 small alcohol pads - not enough - need to use more to thoroughly clean the area to be repaired.

  • Trailer Roof Repair Options
Given the extent of your damage, I would recommend having your camper checked out by a service professional. It sounds likes you would benefit more from repairing the roof with something like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM PVC RV Roof Membrane # 3441700534142711435 which you would need something like the Alpha Systems RV Roof Replacement Installation Kit # AL63FJ to install. I do understand your predicament though and we do have Patch Kit for RV Roof Membranes # QR74FR available if there are...

Depending on the vent there are going to be some different style lids.
