Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 36" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have a hub end and a spigot end. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outside of the new valve's spigot and the inside of its hub with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then, insert the smaller spigot end of the valve into your 3" pipe, and slide the larger hub end over the pipe on the opposite side.

I installed this cable valve in a 1999 Ford E350 ambulance camper conversion last year on the grey water tank drain. I often venture off-pavement and needed to mount the drain as high up as possible to keep it safe, but still wanted easy access to the dump valve. I'd never seen one of these before, but as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the solution! I mounted the pull handle inside one of the exterior storage storage compartments, so it is also well protected.

by:

Good quality valve. Works smoothly. The 36" cable will simplify dumping considerably.

by:

Was perfect

by:

Has worked perfect for over a year now. Easy install. If for your black tank like mine was, flush your tank really well during dump and leave the valve open for a few days to let the tank dry.

This is the OEM drop in replacement for my 2017 Grand Design Imagine 2600rb trailer. It comes with fittings to glue onto your pipes; I removed and discarded them; the flanges on the trailers piping exactly match this valve. I did find the screws that come with it are too short. They are 1/4 x 20 x 1.5" long. You need at least 2" screws and 2.25" would be best. I tried replacing this valve (due to me damaging it) with the Valterra valve (less $$) as I thought I could cut that cable to exact length thus making the pull smoother. That did not work out. I cannot get the allen set screw to hold the cable tight enough. So I am back to OEM as this cable does NOT separate from valve and the 36" cable is pretty much the exact length I need anyway. As a tip, replace this at same time as other valves so you can loosen all valves and it gives just enough slack in pipe to move out of the way and slide the new one in.

by:

exactly what I needed and quick deliver y.

by:

Second order. Hot water tank first. Fast shipping. Great products. Definitely reccomend.

by:

Works very well, and what i expected.

by:

Easy install works great

by:

Looks good to me. Cannot wait to put it on and try it out.

  • Availability of LaSalle Bristol Waste Valve with Near 9 Foot Long Cable
LaSalle Bristol makes a waste valve similar to the # 34466N4AB36GM which has a 120 inch long cable as part number # 34466N4AB120GM. 120 inches is 10 feet which is as close as we can get to the size you are looking for. • How To Tighten A Loose Black Water Valve Cable On A LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated Waste Valve
In order to fix your loose cable on your LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM, you will need to tighten the set screw that holds the cable to the valve stem. To do this. you're going to need to first loosen the set screw at the end of the cable housing (shown below). After this is done, you will then need to slide the valve actuator body off of the valve body itself to expose a yet another set screw. This will be located on the opposite end...

  • Black Water Waste Valve Recommendation for a 2004 Mckenzie Medallion
I can definitely help you figure out what replacement valve you need for the black water system on your 2004 Mckenzie Medallion, but I'll need you to take a look at your system first since we don't have any kind of information on what waste valves you need. The black water side of things uses a 3" diameter pipe so you just need to determine whether your replacement valve needs hub or spigot connections. A hub fitting installs over a spigot fitting so you'll be able to tell what you need...

  • Determining The Correct Length Cable Actuator For A Black Tank Waste Valve
While I won't be able to tell you the exact length cable you'll need I can help point you in the right direction. The first step is going to be to figure out exactly how your current valve is mounted so that you can remove it and choose the correct replacement. The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM you were looking at is a Spigot to Hub design. The spigot end with sit inside of a hub and the hub end with sit over a pipe. The hub and spigot...

  • Black Tank Valve Is Stuck Open
Your black tank valve could be stuck for a couple of reasons. At the valve there could be an ice jam preventing the valve door from closing fully. There could be something else blocking the valve door. Let's say your grandson dropped some Hot Wheels into the toilet and now they are stuck at the valve. Another possibility is that the valve door or pull cable are stuck in some way. I would suggest forcing as much lubricant as possible into the cable and around the valve door to see if you...

Since the placement of the blank waste valve handle makes it hard to operate I recommend switching out the valve with a cable actuated valve that will allow you to place the handle exactly where you need it. The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM comes with a 36" cable that will allow you to easily activate your valve without having to fight the tire. • Replacing the Blackwater Waste Valve and Cable on a 2018 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel
If you're looking to replace your blackwater waste valve and cable, then I recommend going with an actuated cable valve. For these, LaSalle Bristol offers two options while Valterra offers none. Which of the two Bristols you choose will depend on your current setup. The first, part # 34466N4BB72GM, has a 72" cable and a spigot to spigot connection. The second, part # 34466N4AB36GM, has a 36" cable and a spigot to hub connection. You will need to review your setup to find which connection...

You will need to use ABS solvent like # 3447530889 to install it as well. If instead one side fits into the valve and the other fits over you'd want the part # 34466N4AB36GM.

  • Will Shorter Cable Length for RV Waste Valve Make Operation Smoother
The straighter and shorter you can make the dump cables they smoother they will operate to a certain extent. So if you can get away with the shorter 36 inch long cable version part # 34466N4AB36GM instead of the # 34466N11AB72GMA that you referenced this would work well.

  • Which RV Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable Can be Trimmed Down Shorter
We had one customer try to cut the cable of the LaSalle valve # 34466N4AB36GM and they said they weren't able to reassemble the cable after doing so as the set screw wouldn't get tight enough so I would not recommend this valve if your plan is to cut it. We know the Valterra # TC372 can be cut down and work well so this would be your best option.
