What is the Go Power PowerTrak System?

Go Power has designed a series of solar and electrical components with simple, plug-and-play compatibility. Information from the solar panels, charge controllers batteries, inverters, chargers, or battery monitors can all be accessed and configured from a single touchscreen. You no longer need to have an array of different remotes and displays just to monitor your electrical system. The PowerTrak system means that however you build out or expand your system, everything just works.

Excellent

My Gopower sine wave inverter died after about 14 months. I tested, ck’d polarities, voltages, connections and it wouldn’t work. I call Etrailer and Noah said send it back and we’ll issue a new one or order a new one and send the failing unit back for full credit. I ordered one and it arrived two days later. What service. Just need to send the old one now.

Haven't tried it yet but all the other items I have bought from eTrailer has been very good quality even excellent. Will try this converter out tonight on my cpap machine.

  • Off-Grid Inverter Options - Comparing 1,800W To 3,000W
Paul, for light use laptops, TV, maybe a coffee maker the 1,800W # GP94XR will be plenty and save you money. The 3,000W models mainly benefit folks who want to run heavier loads microwaves, multiple outlets, maybe an A/C for awhile depending on your battery bank capacity. If you don’t need that, no harm in keeping it simple. If you decide to go with the bigger model, the # GP44XR is 3,000w and is 30A, while the # GP85QR is 50A and doubles as a charger as well. What’s your heaviest appliance...

  • What is the difference between GP44XR 3k Watt Inverter and GP85QR 3,000W Inverter?
Sherry, you’re right they both deliver 3,000 watts pure sine, but they’re meant for different rigs. The # GP44XR is a straight inverter - DC in, AC out - on one 30A leg, perfect for travel trailers or smaller Class Cs. The # GP85QR is an inverter/charger/transfer switch combo with dual legs, so it can handle 3000w of 50A hookup for your coach and replace your converter/charger in one shot if you also need to charge your batteries. Do you know if your RV is wired for 30A or 50A service?...

  • Do All Go Power PowerTrak Inverters Work With Go Power Solar Controllers And Lithium Batteries?
Kent, all of the new PowerTrak inverters, such as # GP94XR, # GP44XR, and # GP85QR, are PowerTrak compatible, which means they speak RV-C language and integrate with Go Power’s lithium batteries and controllers. The # GP85QR just goes a step further by also handling charging, so it “talks” to the batteries both ways. Keep in mind, you don't specifically need the Go Power brand, as other branded solar kits and batteries work fine with these inverters, you just wouldn't have the whole Go...

  • Does Go Power Pure Sine Wave Inverter 3,000 Watts Let You Combine Shore Power With Battery Assist?
Great question, Drew. The # GP85QR does have a built-in transfer switch and charger, but it’s not a hybrid inverter/charger that can blend shore power with battery power at the same time. What it does is automatically switch between shore (or generator) input and inverter output (run off battery bank). So if you’re on a 30A hookup, you’re limited to what that pedestal provides - if you push past 30 amps, the campground breaker will still trip since you're on a 30A camper/RV setup. When...

  • How Much Clearance Does Go Power Inverter Need For Cooling In Tight Space? Grand Design RV
Steve, for the # GP44XR (along with other models like the # GP85QR and # GP94XR) you’ll want at least 4" of open space on all sides, especially around the fan vents. These units can move a lot of air under load. Mounting it in a ventilated compartment is key. If you’re tight on space, a small louvered vent panel in the compartment wall can make a huge difference and make the unit last a lot longer instead of getting too hot all the time. How much open space do you have available right now?

  • Does Go Power PowerTrak Pure Sine Wave Inverters Have Bluetooth Or App Monitoring?
Laura, yes, Go Power added app monitoring to the new inverters like 1,800w 30A # GP94XR, 3,000w 30A # GP44XR, and 3000w 50A # GP85QR. Once it’s wired in, you can pull up real-time battery voltage, load levels, and error codes on your phone. It’s a nice upgrade compared to older inverters that only had LED status lights. Do you prefer monitoring from inside your rig, or would you use the phone app on the go?

  • What Gauge Wire Kit To Install Go Power 3,000W Inverter GP44XR Or GP85QR ?
Sam, for a 3,000W inverter like # GP44XR or # GP85QR, you’ll want 2/0 or 4/0 AWG depending on the length of the run. Keep it under 10 feet if you can, since voltage is your enemy here. Go Power sells install kits that include the right fuse and cabling # 342GPDCKIT5. How far is your battery bank from where you plan to mount the inverter?

  • Will PowerTrak 3,000W Dual Leg Inverter Charger Power A 2016 Tiffin Allegro 50A?
Yes, Marsha, that’s exactly what the # GP85QR is built for. Unlike the single-leg 30A # GP44XR, this one outputs on both legs, so it ties directly into a 50A distribution panel and supplies up to 3,000 W (not going to power the entire AC system of cours). Plus, it doubles as a charger - up to 125 amps with multi-stage charging for lithium or AGM. That’s why most folks with larger Class A’s or fifth wheels go this route, and it's what I recommend. Now that said, it does come down to how...

  • Can Go Power Inverter Charger Dual Leg Charge Batteries From Onan Generator?
Tyler, the # GP85QR will work with either shore power or a generator input. When you fire up your Onan, the inverter/charger’s built-in transfer switch senses the AC and routes it straight through to your RV’s panel, while also using that power to charge your batteries. One important detail: the inverter doesn’t “re-sine-wave” generator output during pass-through. Whatever your generator produces is what your appliances see. That’s usually fine, but traditional Onans (non-inverter style)...

  • Does Go Power Pure Sine Wave Inverter GP85QR Have Battery Type Settings In App?
Great question, Sonia. Yes, the # GP85QR charger can be configured for lithium, AGM, or flooded lead-acid, and you can adjust those settings through the remote or the app. Once set, the inverter remembers the profile, even if you disconnect the remote. That way your batteries always get the right multi-stage charging. What battery chemistry are you running now?
