Hi, Matt at etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the DMOS shovel mount. This is gonna be great if you're just looking for an easier storage option for your DMOS shovels. So let's take a closer look at it. And if you decide to go with this mount, let us know if you like it and how it's working holding your shovels in place. But the way it's gonna work is we'll just open it up, and this is gonna work either with your regular DMOS shovel or the pro.
And how it does it is it just grabs onto the handle here. You'll pull that down, it'll cinch it down like that, and then you'll have a knob at the bottom that you have to just tighten up and it'll hold it into place so you can even drive around with it like this. Now let's give this a good tug to make sure it feels good, and you can tell it is, so that molle panel behind is actually moving with it some. So this isn't gonna go anywhere. This is gonna be perfect if you're doing any type of overlanding, offroading, or anytime that you might need a shovel.
If you find yourself grabbing that shovel pretty frequently, especially if you're getting stuck somewhere, you want it to be somewhere that's gonna be easy to reach, not the back of your bed or through some random tote where you have to rummage through. And what more is, I just kinda like the way it's being displayed right now. It looks nice and it kind of gives a vehicle a little more of a rugged look. And if you decide to have this on display full time, what's nice is we have this little space here, it's gonna be a hole. You can actually put a padlock here so you can have the extra security so no one can take your gear.
But you also wanna make sure your gear's not gonna get damaged too. So we are gonna have these little rubber sections on either side of this. So it's not gonna be metal on metal contact. It's gonna be rubber on metal contact so it doesn't scratch anything up. And with this mount, what I really like about it, is just its size.
You can tell this is very compact, it's not gonna take up very much room or of a big footprint on your molle panels. That's perfect because you can store extra gear on here. And what more is, it's very lightweight since it is made of aluminum so it's gonna be rust-resistant too. And it's gonna be a universal mount. So any of the DMOS shovels are gonna be able to work with this since it is only grabbed on by the handle. Overall, if you are looking for something that's gonna allow your shovel to be just within reach all the time and give your vehicle more of a rugged look to it, then this is gonna be a great option for you.
