Will this system work on my 03 Tacoma double cab? Im trying to install a continuous cargo platform over my roof and topper.

The Yakima 60" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01135 will work well on a sheet metal roof. You will want to be as close to the frame weight supports as possible to maximize the weight capacity.

It sounds like you want to do a customized fit but I don't recommend running the track between the cab and topper. I'd use two separate tracks that are lined up so there is the ability to remove the topper if ever desired and you won't have the chance of an unsupported tower sitting in the gap between the topper and cab. You can cut the tracks wherever needed and use the Replacement Track EndCaps for Yakima Roof Rack Tracks (QTY 2) # Y8810103 to give you clean ends.

Instead of piecing everything together, you may want to consider the Yakima HardTop SL Roof Rack - 60" CoreBar Crossbars - 54" Tracks # Y01618. If you want to piece it together I recommend the Skyling Towers # Y00148, lock cores # Y07204, landing pad x2 # Y00221 and crossbars # Y00426. If you want the platform, you may prefer a system like the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack - Track Mount - 84" Long x 56" Wide # JA9084 which will fit to your tracks. There are many sizes available.
