Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a quick look at this replacement jaw pad for the Raptor roof mounted bike carrier. Now, this is going to replace one jaw pad for your Yakima Raptor roof mounted bike carrier that is from 2003 and newer. This is going to fit the Raptor Aero roof mounted bike rack and the Raptor roof mounted bike rack. For your convenience and reference, I am including the model numbers of the Raptor Aero and Raptor on your screen for you.

And as you probably know, two pads are required for a complete replacement of a broken jaw. And again, this is going to be just for one jaw pad. And because this is the replacement from Yakima, you can have the confidence that this will fit your Raptor or Raptor Aero roof mounted bike rack. That's gonna conclude our brief look today. I ordered x6 pieces of those (for 3 racks). The $[XX] economy shipping cost was very reasonable (same whether x1 or x6 pieces) from etrailer.com, and the package arrived promptly. Very easy to replace/reinstall the old sun-faded/melted/flaking pad pieces with the new pads. Each came with the pad/plastic together, and I only needed the pads (just recycled the plastic backing pieces). The latest from Yakima website shows the pad only for the same part# nowadays. For $[XX] (each, not pair), I'll see how long the new ones last under the direct sun.

After a year, the new rubber pieces are still doing fine under direct sun everyday better material than olderoriginal gen. Still happy about those replacement pieces.

I've purchased a number of hard to find items from etrailer. Their e-commerce site always works, I always get confirmations of order, ship and receipt. I always get it fast, unlike the others where they print the shipping label upon order receipt then ship 3 weeks when they source the part from another supplier.

Great price and fast shipping. Jaws pad replacement was a perfect fit for older raptor jaws. Replacement was easy and took 5 min per jaw. Thanks.

Replaced original just fine since the rubber was starting to disintegrate leaving marks on my bike. The only bad thing is that the jaws are attached to the arm with rivets so the only way to completely replace them is to drill out the long rivets and replace with long screws. However the rubber pads can be removed easily and replaced, which I did. If I ever need to replace the actual jaws, I can still drill out the rivets and then put on the new jaws and reattach the rubber pads.

Good product I wish you could just order the inserts instead of the whole bracket to cut down on the price. Other then that they went on very easy and in time for the trip.

I wasn't aware that these included the hard plastic parts of the claw as well. Guess I'll save those for an emergency rather than drilling out my rivets, for now.
