Replace a missing Thule key with this equivalent part.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a replacement key for your Thule racks and Thule carriers, specifically key number N012. So folks, this will replace one, one missing key, or lost or damaged key. It's 012, it's engraved right there on the key itself under my "E" sticker. And this is for the Thule racks and carriers. It's a direct replacement from Thule, so you can be sure it works with those lock cores.
Now that "012" should be engraved on the outside of your lock core, on your Thule racks or Thule carriers, right by where the key slides in. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

I was brought to etrailers by a google search looking for a replacement key for my SportRack lock barrel #012.
I was sent to this page that specifically says the Thule No12 key fits my rack lock number.
It absolutely did not fit and is now broken inside of my lock, A replacement lock for my rack is XX$, So over an XX$ key i now have to buy 4 new locks. This has been a nightmare.

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. I contacted Thule and for the 012 key number there is not a replacement available for the Sportrack branded key.

Having a non-working key does not help. I would like to as a few questions. Can you verify that the key number matches the lock cylinder? Do you have a Sportrack or Thule branded carrier?
Was hoping key would fit my vw locking roof bars and was so happy to find the key I ordered would fit. It was my understanding that vw roof bars are made by Thule. It seems to be the case so I'm very happy.
