Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the replacement barrel nut for your Thule big mouth roof-mounted and the Doubletrack hitch-mounted bike carriers. So folks, this will replace one, quantity, one of your barrel nuts. It's an M6 by 18 millimeter for that Thule big mouth, roof-mounted bike rack or the Thule Doubletrack hitch-mounted bike rack. It's gonna serve as an axle on which the cam handles of your bike carrier rotate and it's gonna provide an attachment point for the clamps for those T-bolts. Folks, again, this is a direct replacement barrel nut from Thule, so you can be sure it's gonna work with those bike racks.

the part broke again seems to be a weak part

I ordered these products to replace the original ones which were missing. I believe someone was attempting to take my rack while my vehicle was parked and I was not nearby. They have functioned perfectly and I would order from etrailer again in the future should the need arise.

This replacement tray for our Thule Doubletrack hitch rack is a perfect fit and looks identical to the lost original. Also got the new lever (853-3508), barrel nut (853-0446), and carriage bolt (915-066-31). From now on we'll be closing the lever lined up against the rack rails as shown so that it can't accidentally get flipped up and spin itself off in the wind (I'm assuming that's how we lost it, I'd hate to think it was stolen!). Thank you so much etrailer.com for making these out-of-stock Thule rack parts available, and at a fair price! Quick shipping, too!

I needed to order a new wheel tray for my Thule Doubletrack bike rack, and etrailer’s website was an excellent place to do it. Not only did they have everything that I needed, the website had easily accessible info on the related parts (lever, nut, and bolt) that needed to be ordered with it. No issues w/ the product, exactly as shown, worked great. etrailer unfortunately shipped the product a day after they had said they would. I was hoping they would make up for their mistake by shipping it faster (so it would still arrive when they had originally said it would), but they did not. If your order isn't time-sensitive, then it'd be no concern, but don't rely on their shipping speed.
