Question:

I need a replacement wheel hoop and install hardware for my Thule DoubleTrack Bike Rack. I only need one hoop, bolt, and lever. I also need to know how to install and assemble the new parts on my bike rack.

You will need the following parts for replacing your wheel hoop on your Thule DoubleTrack.

Wheel Hoop for Thule Double Track: # 853-7481
Replacement Barrel Nut: # 853-0446
Replacement Lever: # 853-3506
The replacement Carriage Bolt that you need is M6 X 60mm while these are not available, I believe you could make the M6 X 65 mm carriage bolt by Thule work # TH26DH.

To reinstall this wheel hoop on your Thule DoubleTrack, you will need to first slide the barrel nut into the base of the lever. This will establish a threaded portion that will install on the carriage bolt. You will then install the wheel hoop on your existing bike rack making sure that the contour of the wheel hoop lines up with the contours on the bracket. The hole for the carriage bolt to pass through will line up too. Once the wheel hoop is installed then run the carriage bolt through the assembly and thread the lever on. The threads on the carriage bolt should be about flush with the top of the barrel nut on the lever assembly, then flip the lever down and make sure it is secure.
