I was wondering what the difference is between the barrel nut # 853-0446-01, and the axle nut #853-0446. I need the part that the bolt screws into on the lever that tightens the tire holder on my hitch mounted double carrier. The carrier is a 2015 or 2016 model.

I reached out to Thule and the axle nut # 853-0446 is the part you need. It looks like the # 853-0446-01 is the same part, but because Thule doesn't have the info on it in their system I can't confirm that. It may have been discontinued or the number may have changed because it looks like the same part. I was able to confirm that the # 853-0446 is the part you are seeking and is a barrel nut m6 x 18.
