Bobby Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the replacement two-piece ball stud for MORryde StepAbove Strut Assist RV Steps. Now, as this title suggests, this is going to be a replacement part to allow us to get our Strut Assist RV Steps back in working order. These can quickly replace our damaged studs, as our studs are going to have a lot of wear and tear on them with that Step Assist being on a lot of active use.
So of course, if we are having trouble, this can be a quick way of making sure that our Steps are ready for use again. It is going to come with two washers here to secure either side of our Strut Assists, and allow us to get this properly mounted. It is made with a zinc-coated steel to help combat corrosion, as we are going to be dealing with a little bit of those elements. Well, nothing too crazy with this guy. Let's go ahead, start breaking down some of our dimensions here.
Our overall length is going to be putting us right at 2 and 1/8 inches for ourselves for that overall length. Now that is at maximum, as we get this in place, that thread is going to start binding itself into this carabiner here. So we will go ahead and shorten that down a lot as we actually get it installed. But just to give you guys an estimate of what we're going to be working with when we start. Our overall height for ourselves today is going to be putting us right at 7/8 inches for ourselves.
And that is going to be our washer system. For that smaller system itself, it's going to be putting it right at half an inch for ourselves on that big carabiner right here at the front. Now our ball diameter for ourselves, guys, is going to be putting this right at 3/8 inches. And that way you know that it's going to be properly fitted for those struts on our Strut Assist. Well, guys, I think that that about does it for our look at the replacement two-piece ball stud for MORryde StepAbove Strut Assist RV Steps.

This ball stud is way over priced. Wholesale cost of this can't be over $5. etrailer should be ashamed for selling this little piece of metal for an outrages price.
I love etrailer, but this is crazy over priced.
Part was way overpriced!!!!! After I ordered I found I could of made it myself for less than $20!!!! Wish I would of taken my time before I ordered!!

It was just what I needed. Was easier to install then I thought it would be. Took about 10 minutes to install
The exact part that was needed. Easy to install,just remember the stairs need to be in the up position to make the repairs

The price was a bit steep, but this is an exact replacement for the broken part on my stairs. Useful tip: use a narrow flat screwdriver on the strut to slightly and gently pull back the spring clip...the ball end slips right into the strut's cavity. Overall and easy do-it-yourself fix
I thought the price was kind of high but this replacement ball stud was needed. e-trailer was the only on-line store that sells this part. Moryde doesn't sell this and they're the manufacturer of the steps. When I placed the order I was told it would take 4 days to receive it. It was delivered in two days. I was extremely happy with the shipping. e-trailer came through in my time of need. I give this a four star rating only because of price.

Much needed part. This is my second one. First didnt last long. Price for such a small piece is unbelievably too high.
ETrailer is a an excellent source for parts. This item is the OEM part, the part was “in stock”. and it shipped immediately. The shipment tracking system was accurate and delivery was timely.

The small mechanical replacement part two piece ball stud is working fine. The original part that cane with the steps in our new 2019 Forest River Rockwood purchased in 2018 lasted five years and wore out and broke in two pieces primarily due to road vibrations.
Part was as described and fit our need. Shipping took just over 1 week. I recognize this was a very specialized part but price seemed high. Could not find it anywhere else tho so very happy that trailer could provide it.
After the install and the first lowering the steps it snapped again. The install is straight forward so I don't believe it was a problem with that. But at the price of the item it should be bullet proof.

It has not been a year but I will say etrailer responded quickly with a replacement. Great Customer service and the correct thing to do.

I’m sorry for the bad rating. It’s a good thing I still had the other nut side because the one you sent wouldn’t even screw onto the bolt. You need to up your quality checks before you ship your products out.

Since I installed the new 2 piece stud, the steps are working like they should. No new issues, It was easier to install then I thought it would be.
