Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this replacement black lower sidewall vent for your Dometic Americana II RV refrigerator. So this is going to be the replacement lower sidewall vent for your Americana II RV refrigerator. And this is the black exterior vent panel that's going to mount to the outside wall of your RV directly behind the refrigerator. And of course, as you know, its main job is to let heat escape and fresh air circulate around the back of your fridge. And that airflow is gonna be essential for absorption style RV refrigerators to cool properly.
And without good ventilation, the fridge won't perform efficiently, like it should. And this is also going to double as an access door, meaning that you're gonna be able to remove the vent to reach the back of the fridge for maintenance or service without pulling the entire fridge out. And so just a few key points, this is an OEM Dometic replacement. So it's made to factory specifications. Again, it's designed for that lower sidewall installation, not a roof vent.
It's finished in black from a durable plastic for outdoor use. And lemme go ahead and give you some measurements. I'm gonna flip this to the back here and see if I can show you the cutout measurements here as best as I can. So looking at the width of that cutout, we are sitting right at, right at about 21 9/16 inches wide. And the height of the cutout, pretty close to 13 3/4 inches tall.
And the overall measurements, let me flip this back around, make sure I'm centered in frame here. Looks like we are gonna be right at about, looks like 24 inches by, I'm gonna say about 16 3/8 inches tall. So hopefully those measurements will give you that further confirmation that this is going to be what you need.
