How's it going ShellRaiser owner This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're, since you're looking at this video, seems that you may need to replace the clamps on your ShellRaiser from Benton. So I'm gonna show you how to do that and what the replacement clamps look like and how they work. When you received your ShellRaiser initially in the box, you had to put it all the way together. So you're gonna be pretty familiar with the kit for your replacement parts. You're gonna have your braided cable threaded strap, you're gonna have a knob, your cable bracket, and your slot alignment bracket. And these four things come together like this to get the correct amount of tension on your crossbars.
Installation for this is super easy and I'll walk you through it. We're gonna start our installation with our slot bracket adapter. You wanna make sure that you have the orientation of this correct, so the strap can fit underneath it, and your thread can fit underneath and slide along the slot. So we're just gonna put this towards the rear of our carrier so it'll match the other side. And once you just snap it over the track, it's installed.
Now we're gonna use our cable strap bracket. Our cable strap is actually has a barrel on the end that's gonna drop into one of these three positions depending on how you're set up. And this is gonna snap right over our slot bracket adapter. So now it can travel along the slot that's on our ShellRaiser. And from here we're gonna take our braided threaded cable and we're gonna drop it down right here into one of our slots on the back of our bracket.
And from here, you can actually take the braided threaded cable through and install your knob. You're just gonna be able to drop this guy right down and the bottom of your knob, once you get it started, it's gonna snap into the top of your bracket, just kind of have to work that guy in and then you're good, and so from here, after you make that replacement, you're back on the road. From here you just complete the same steps three more times, and then you've successfully changed out all your cable clamps for your Benton ShellRaiser. So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com, taking a look at the replacement clamp system for your Benton ShellRaiser cargo box. Have a great day.
