Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp, six foot long, 15 inches wide, rated at an impressive 10,000 pounds capacity. That's right, folks. These are a hundred percent aluminum, so they're lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant. Made here in the US, they are straight loading ramps.
They're gonna let you load heavy equipment vehicles or just wheeled equipment up onto your trailer or perhaps in the bed of your truck. Now, right now I've got this on a 36-inch tall tabletop. That is the max deck requirement that you're allowed to use on this 36 inches. So, you can see that down angle or up angle, depending on which way you're looking. And that's the max you wanna be.
The lowest you wanna be is 15 inches. They're pretty lightweight. Again, all aluminum, about 31 pounds apiece. Again, they're six foot long, 15 inches wide. And if I flip this one a little bit, you can kinda see a little better.
You have serrated rungs here. Those are gonna help provide grip whenever you're going up there with the wheels and stuff, even if it's wet. And the gradual incline with the divots in between will help get you up there with ease. Now, the hook here on the end and that's gonna be great for grabbing the end of the trailer. I've just got 'em on the tabletop here today.
And then at the base you have a curved edge here. There you go. That's gonna help you get up and onto the ramps with ease as well. And coming down from the top, I wanna see a little bit better those rungs. So, very nice. As far as the thickness of these ramps, you can see they're pretty wide. Let's get a quick measurement on that for you. So, roughly three inches before you add the rungs on top. And one other thing to point out on this, on these measurements, excuse me. So, I mentioned six feet long. Now that's the actual, what I would call the support structure of that ramp is that six foot. If you go down to the full end to end, it's a little over but not by much. So, about an eight inch difference. So, just kinda keep that in mind if you're looking at space and those kind of things. So again, these are a great set aluminum. Made here in the US. Very sturdy curved base is gonna help you get up onto the deck of the trailer or truck. Folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Great for loading 4,000lbs mini skid steer onto 450 flatbed truck.
Great build quality,Fast shipping.I would buy from this company again.
Well built, look great, fit my trailer great, haven't pulled truck onto them yet but dont think their will be any issues w my short bed square body chevy.
I'm 70 plus years now. I can still move these slowly but at least I can do this on my own...for now. The ramps before were steel but to short for my use with my custom lowered classics I own. The do a great job, however, getting them up into my bed of my truck is tricky at my age. My current vehicles are just a bit to low to allow the ramps to sit underneath on the trailer deck. One of my son's will help me load up the vehicles but at least I can still do most on my own. I just used these this past weekend to trailer up my vehicles for a local car show.
Thank you for the suggestion through the chat service. When not in use I strap them down tight to the trailer bed. I might be looking at a custom fab to slid these under my trailer if there is room. Thank you again. I truly enjoy this wider and longer ramps.
The ramps work good for me, I carry a small car in the back of my pick-up, for me the ramp angle is acceptable and the capacity of the ramps is well over the load that I apply (I don't drive up, I have a bed mounted winch I use).
Nice ramps! This is where my 550 Spyder lives
Excellent quality... superior strength.....very portable......BUT the end of the ramp that you hook to the trailer is not "deep" enough allowing the ramp to fall to the ground as the vehicle tire rolls on to the trailer. This does not happen all of the time, but does happen enough to be a serious problem getting the ramp, using multiple jacks, to get the ramp reattached to the trailer. Adding 1-2 inches onto the "hook" end of the ramp ( ie making it deeper) would solve the problem. I would then rate it a 5. Hopefully the manufacturer will read this and make an inexpensive and quick adjustment to their manufacturing process and the problem will be solved.
I have not used them yet but they look well built.
Very heavy-duty ramps but still lite enough to pick up easily.
Solid - Sturdy - Lightweight. Great ramps for the money.
excellent product , great communication on product and delivery - pleasure doing business with your company- thanks
I have several trailers with different types of ramps and these are by far the best I have ever used. unbelievable good quality and construction. Hats off to not only the guys who built them but also to the designer and engineer! I have worked construction my whole life and don't usually write reviews but these are nice and fairly priced for the quality !
Nice looking product. Will work well with my trailer.
The construction on these ramps is much heavier than others I have owned.
Great finish and service on the part of E Trailer.
Great communication. Customer service is tops. Great quality. The ramps are a fraction of the weight of the steel ramps that I'm replacing. Very good product
Well built, nice ramps, only used once but they seem great

Great, have now used multiple times and I stick with my original opinion

The ramps are awesome, five star, but I REALLY should have purchased the 8’ ramps. (Seriously, very well built and qualify product.) I do not have drop axles on my trailer so the incline for the 6’ ramps is steeper than I like. Unfortunately for me I already used them so returning was not an option and I don’t have the money to just buy another set so I have to make these work.
If you are thinking of these ramps do not doubt yourself, get them. Just be mindful of the load angle and if not 100% sure, get the 8’ ramps. Really wish I got the 8’ ramps.
