Whether you're roaring down the trail or tearing over the dunes, the Xmitter Prime IRIS is the ultimate off-road light bar for you. It combines maximum light output, rugged durability, and versatile mounting into one sleek package. This extremely bright, 30-watt LED light bar uses precision optics to shoot out a mixed beam of bright white light that extends both far and wide. You get focused light that goes a great distance - over 850' - with a flood beam in the immediate area around your vehicle that's larger than the halo effect you may get with a typical spot beam. In addition to delivering maximum usable light and stellar efficiency, this light bar also gives you the same rugged, off-road look you've come to expect from similar, industry-standard halogen and HID off-road lights. So you won't have to sacrifice the look that you want to get the visibility that you need.
The beam pattern of this light is great for seeing out in front of you as well as off to both sides. This makes the Xmitter Prime IRIS an excellent multi-purpose driving light bar. It is ideal for high- or low-speed, off-road driving applications where being able to see what's ahead of you is important but being able to see in your periphery is vital.
The concentrated beam of light that the Xmitter Prime IRIS produces is made possible by the integrated IRIS reflectors. One complaint about many auxiliary LED lights is that the beam won't reach as far as the beam from an HID light, but that's not the case with Vision X LED lights that use IRIS reflectors. These deep, cone-shaped reflectors project the light down your path farther than standard reflectors, so you can easily see everything that lies ahead.
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LED is capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diode is capable of producing. This light bar has a 3,168 raw lumen capacity and produces 2,218 effective lumens for ultra-bright light.
Lux - or the amount of light per square meter - is a measurement of a light's intensity. One lux is the minimum amount of light that is needed for an average person to read a newspaper.
The above lux chart shows just how far and wide this light bar's beam extends. The Xmitter Prime IRIS produces a light so bright and efficient that the beam measures 1 lux at 853' (260 meters). At that distance, the beam also measures 68' (21 meters) wide. To compare, a typical motorcycle headlight low beam measures 1 lux at 88' (27 meters), and a high beam measures 1 lux at 153' (47 meters).
This LED light bar delivers maximum efficiency at all times and always activates immediately, giving you steady, powerful, and reliable light every time you hit the switch. You'll see the difference the first time you fire it up. Unlike HID lights, this light doesn't need to warm up to achieve its full brightness. And unlike halogen lights, the Xmitter Prime IRIS doesn't require that you change out bulbs due to blown filaments.
Not all LEDs are created equal. Vision X uses only top-grade LEDs to ensure that their lights deliver maximum efficiency. Lower-grade LEDs, which make up a large portion of the market, produce more heat at the same wattage and have a much shorter life span.
Although LED lights typically produce far less heat than halogen or HID lights, heat is still the biggest enemy of an LED. Vision X controls and combats heat with Prime Drive technology. This technology combines electronic thermal management (ETM) with pulse-width modulation (PWM) for superior heat resistance. The result is ultra-bright lights with the highest output, the least amount of wasted light and energy, and the longest life span.
Many LEDs on the market are only driven to 60 percent of their potential to avoid overheating, electrical spikes, and premature failure. But ETM allows the LEDs in Vision X lights to be driven to 90 percent of their potential. The ETM system monitors each LED's heat level to keep the light operating at a safe temperature, which maximizes its efficiency and life span. If the ETM system senses that the LED is getting too hot, it engages the PWM, which flashes the light at a rate of 100,000 times per second - faster than the human eye can detect. This gives the LED time to cool between cycles while still maintaining its overall brightness.
This Vision X light bar is also built with an advanced heat sink to help dissipate heat. The heat sink has a channeled design that allows for convection-style cooling. The channels create a non-mechanical fan - outside air is sucked into the heat sink at one end and flows out of the other end, taking hot air produced by the light with it.
Vision X lights are incredibly durable, yet still lightweight. And they are thoroughly tested and protected against voltage spikes; damage from water, shock, or particulates; and interference with radio reception and vehicle wiring.
The Xmitter Prime IRIS has a rustproof, black powder coated aluminum housing and a tough, impact-resistant polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating for maximum strength and durability.
The 304 stainless steel mounting hardware resists vibration to keep the light firmly in place, and it won't rust or corrode.
And the included 2-wire harness has a triple-sealed, industry-standard Deutsch connector.

Today we're going to review part number XPI-6. This is the vision X XPI, xmitter prime IRIS, 30 watt LED light bar with the straight beam pattern. Now this part number includes everything here shown on the table. The light bar, it includes the lower mounting brackets, it includes side brackets if you prefer, the mounting hardware, an allen wrench, and a pigtail line harness with the deutsch connector on it. Now this LED light bar will produce a bright straight beam. Which is ideal for off road driving.
The optics on this provide a long straight beam for distance vision. Does have superior light output from the single row of six five watt LED's paired with the IRIS reflectors. It does give you maximum efficiency with minimal heat. These premium LED's here, you have a 50,000 hour life span, and are driven to 90 percent of your light admitting potential. Now even though they say there it's a 50,000 hour life span, you do have to remember this product does have a limited lifetime warranty.
Does use electronic thermal management, or ETM technology, and also pulse with modulation, which allows for your highest potential light output all times. The very back of the light bar has the channel thins on the housing. That's the heat quickly dissipate. It is made of a durable weather resistant construction. Has a nice rugged black powdered coating aluminum housing, which is very light weight, and rust proof.
On the front has the impact resistant poly-carbonate lenses, with the scratch resistant coating. The mounting hardware does use the hypertensive stainless steel hardware, which helps withstand vibration. This is a very easy installation, with the included components. If you do use the side brackets, you just use that hardware, and bolt them on just like that. If you use the bottom brackets, what you'll do is go to bottom and you'll see these slots with the large hole in the center.
You just take the bolt from the bracket there, drop it in, slide it over. Do the same right here. Just drop the bolt in, slide it over, and then you can tighten that down, and actually with these bottoms ones, you can see that they do rotate. So it gives you about 15 degrees of adjustment on your light bar. Now we do also sell if you wanted to clamp this light on to a round tube, we do sell billet clamp mounts. Which are sold separately, and they're listed on this product page as a related product, and they'll fit anywhere from one inch up to two inch tubing, and they are sold separately. Now the pig tail wiring harness, has the pigtails on the one end. The red wire is for power, the black is for ground. The other end, they use this industry standard triple sealed deutsch connector. The nice thing about this is, the deutsch connector has the triple seal right here, this orange ring, when you go to plug it in. So, if you take your cord from your light bar, you go to plug it in, it's very snug fit, you just push it and it will click into place and lock down, and that triple seal on the inside will make it a weather proof connector. So, none of the elements or anything can get to your connection. Then you just pop it off to remove it. Now the specks on this has the six diodes, five watts per, so it's 30 watts total. The power draw is 2.5 amps, input voltage is 11 volts to 32 volts dc. Again this product has a limited lifetime warranty. The light output on this, the effective lumen output is 2,218 lumens. The raw lumens output is 3,168 lumens. The dimension when this is turned on is 853 feet long by 68 feet wide. The dimension on the light itself, the width length, or width of it is 11 and 1/2 inches, the height is going to be right at 3 and 3/16, and then the depth from front to back is going to be right at 3 and 1/8 inches. So what I'm going to do now is go ahead and connect this to a 12 volt power source. Once we do that, what I'm going to try to do here is zoom out a little bit so we can get you a pattern, and show you how strong the lights are and the pattern it gives off. Now we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. Go ahead and turn on the power, and you can see the six LED's give off a very bright light. 30 watts total, and I'm going to turn around here and sort of reflect it off the back wall so you can sort of see the pattern it does give. It's a straight beam pattern. Now I'll go ahead and turn off the power. Go ahead and turn the lights back on. That should do it for the review on part number XPI-6 the Vision X XPI, which is the xmitter prime IRIS, 30 watt LED light bar with the straight beam pattern. .
