Video Transcript for Beginner’s Guide to Installing the WeatherTech Mud Flaps on a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the full set of custom fit WeatherTech mud flaps here on our 2022 Ram 1500 Classic. Now, like I said, this is the full set. So, we've got the front set right here and if we move over to the back of the truck, we've got the set for the rear, as well. This is going to be custom fit to match the contours of our vehicle here and be a no drill installation. So, it uses existing factory hardware to get a nice strong fit and provide that nice mud flap for our truck.

Let's check them out. These are made right here in the USA with a high quality thermoplastic resin. It's got a good thickness to it. If your truck is kicking up any sort of rocks or anything, I think it's going to hold up really well and most importantly, it's going to protect the truck back here from any of that debris flying up. These do extend down quite a bit, giving us pretty good coverage, especially compared to what was just sitting on the truck before, which really didn't give any coverage.

You can see here how they kind of match the contour of the truck right here, giving us a really strong fit all throughout. And it uses the existing factory screws, so we don't have to make any drilling or modifications to our truck to make these work. If you don't need the full set, you can just get the rear or the front on their own, totally up to you and what you need for your truck. But either way, they're both going to install the same way. Let's go over that process now.

Getting these installed is going to be really simple. You just want to identify the correct side. So, we've got the rear set here, and on the back here, it'll say LH right there at the bottom. It's pretty hard to see, especially probably on camera, but just look around this area towards the bottom and it'll say LH or RH. LH is for our driver's side here.

I'm just going to set that down and grab our 5/16th socket. And just remove the 2 screws here and up here on our vehicle. When you're removing these, just keep them nearby. You are going to reuse these later. Now, if you don't have this black trim piece like we do here, you can just go ahead and install the mud flap. But if you have this piece like we do, you want to just come down to the underside of that trim piece here, and we're going to take our Phillips head screwdriver and loosen up this screw here. This is part of a kind of push fastener, so we'll just loosen up that screw a little bit. And there's going to be 2 of those. So, we've got a second one more towards the rear of the truck here. Once you've got those unscrewed, you can take a flat bladed screwdriver or a trim panel tool to kind of pop these out just like that on either side. And then that will allow you to remove that whole panel and you can set this to the side, because we won't be reusing this. So, now we can take our mud flap and just line it up with the holes on our truck and reinstall those screws that we removed before. And then we can just retighten that down with the same socket that we used before. Once that rear one is done, they can go ahead and move up to the front set. It's going to be the exact same as that rear one. We've got those same 2 factory screws that we can find just on the inside of the wheel well here. And we'll just replace those and pop them in. And then we can repeat that process on the other side of the vehicle for the passenger side. And then you're done. You're ready to hit the road. And that'll complete our look and installation of this full set of WeatherTech custom fit mud flaps here on our 2022 Ram 1500 Classic. Thanks for watching..

Vehicle: 2026 Ram 3500 Dually. Ordering was simple with website identifying which items fits my truck. Arrived quickly and tracking update to date to prepare for arrival. Ordered for all 4 tires. Took less than 20 minutes using the 2 factory screws. Nice factory molded look. Awareness, The rear are shorter than your typical rubber mudflats.

I ordered Weather Tech mud flaps for my GMC Sierra 1500. The front flaps were easy to install by using existing fasteners installed on the truck by GMC. The rear flaps were slightly more challenging requiring the placement of clamps (integral to the flaps) on the rear fender. The entire installation of all flaps required about 45 minutes. they look great and they will protect my fenders from being damaged by road debris.

by:

Are you serious with the question or is this just a computer generated inquiry?

by:

This is a good investment. First, etrailer is a great place to get what you need for supplies! The weathertech mud flaps are a great addition to a raised F-250 with larger tires that pulls. This will provide the rest of the protection I need as well as cut down on debris that the tires throw up at other cars/trucks. Very easy to install and if I want to remove them then I have all the pieces necessary except for the push grommets which I can get anywhere. I think I will leave them on for a while....not bad looking either.

by:

The Weather Tech mud flaps are very well made, fit perfectly and are very simple to install. I’m very impressed with them and they really help protect the body of my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

by:

the fit was very good with the mud flaps fitting with my factory fender trim. The only issue was the clips that came with the setup. there were supposed to be 4 and there were only 2 in the packaging.

by:

I purchased these for my wife's new 2031 chevy traverse. They look great and were easy to install. I have had many weather tech products through the years and have been very happy with them.

by:

Easy to install 2026 Ram 3500 DRW

by:

Fits my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 custom front steering wheels mud flaps. Bolts on correctly and fits good.

by:

Weather tec is great, getting it from e trailer is also great. As the fit is always guaranteed. There customer service and follow up is second to none.

by:

Mudflaps fit perfect and look great. Great business to deal with and fast shipping

by:

Front mudflaps were easy to install. Rear mudflaps need a new design. Instead of a bolt, two washers, and a lock nut, WT should use some sort of insert into the whole where the bolt goes through. It is extremely difficult to get the washer and lock nut onto the bolt as the area is small. Something like a drywall anchor in the hole and then screw into the anchor. Finished product looks great. Please pass my comments onto Weather Tech.

by:

Easy installation. Instructions are easy to understand.
Would have gave a 5 rating but had trouble with a flawed supplied screw clip so took a bit longer on the install. Had to remove the clip and modify so supplied screw would thread into clip. This happened to be the last screw to tighten.

by:

WeatherTech products looks fantastic and are easy to install. This set was simple to install on a 2021 RAM Power Wagon

by:

Quick shipping was always from etrailer. Product was a perfect fit on my vehicle and easy install took about 30 minutes.

by:

These were easy to install and look great on my 2023 F350 dually. I was a little concerned about how close the passenger side one is to the exhaust tips. Have only used them on one 2 hour drive but so far so good.

by:

These no drill mud flaps are easy to install and look factory after installation. I was told by Weather tech they would not fit my 2025 F450, but they were wrong, they fit perfectly. I wish they used black screws and washers, it would look more finished than an after thought with the stainless metal screws and washer. Great product, would recommend, thus the five star rating. I have been using Weather tech products for years.

Vehicle 2026 Ram 2500 Dually. Ordering was super easy to identify the mudflats for my vehicle. Quick delivery with tracking to prepare when they arrive. Installation: Use the 2 current factory screws on each fender for a quick install, less than 20 minutes for all 4 a nice clean factory molded look. Front length looks good. Just for awareness. The rear isn’t as long as your typical rubber mudflap if you are looking for something that hangs closer to the ground. Hopefully can see the length in the photos.

Mud flaps were very easy to install, but they only hang down about 6 inches. They will help minimize any rock chips on the truck, but not as well for the trailer's I pull.

by:

Good fit but could be a little wider still get spray on trailer

  • Fit of WeatherTech Mud Flaps on Ram Truck with Running Boards
Here's the lowdown on the fit, which I received directly from WeatherTech. The # WT110026-120026 will fit your truck if it has the factory add-on fender flares and running boards that DO NOT come within 2 inches of the wheel well. If they do come within 2 inches, the front mud flap will not fit, and you'd need to go with the rear # WT120026 flaps only. If you do not have the fender flares, and the running boards DO NOT come within 2 inches of the wheel wells, use part # WT110024-120024....

  • Will WeatherTech Mud Flaps Fit 2015 Ram 2500 With Running Boards
The WeatherTech Mud Flaps, part # WT110026-120026 are designed to fit your 2015 Ram 2500 if it has the factory add-on flares. These are a no-drill installation and use the existing holes and hardware on your truck. I have attached a photo that shows what the mud flaps will look like on the front and rear when installed. The running boards on your truck should not interfere with the mud flaps. If you do not have the factory add-on flares, the front mud flaps are part # WT110045. These...

  • Recommended Front And Rear Mud Flaps For 2015 Ram 3500
I called my contact at Weather Tech and they told me that is you have any step bars within 2 inches of the wheel well opening there is not fit for mud flaps. If you do have more than 2 inches from any step bars then the mud flaps that are designed to fit your 2015 Ram 3500 are part # WT110045-120024. If the step bar is within 2 inches on either the front or the back wheel well, you can order the mud flaps separately. You would need part # WT110045 for the front or part # WT120024 for...

  • Dimensions of Mud Flaps for 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed
The mud flaps you reference, # WT120024, are a confirmed fit for your 2010 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 Series Non-Dually without flare fenders. I went out to the warehouse and pulled these mud flaps. What I did was measure the custom contour (where the flap fits the bottom of the fender) to the bottom of the flap. That measurement is 7". See the installation instructions and the image with these measurements that I made for you at right.

  • Recommended Mud Flaps For 2015 Ram 1500 With Fender To Fender Running Boards
If you have running boards on your 2015 Ram that are within 2 inches of the front fender well, we do not have any mud flaps that will work for you. Since there are no running boards behind the rear fender well of your vehicle we do have rear mud flaps that will work. If your running boards do not come within 2 inches of the front fender well, the mud flaps for the front and rear for your 1500 are part # WT110024-120024. If you have factory add-on fender flares the mud flaps I recommend...

The Weathertech Mud Flaps part # WT120024 that you referenced are only confirmed to fit the models of the 2015 Ram 2500s that don't have the fender flares. Based on the picture you submitted these would not work for you.

  • Mud Flaps for 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup With Factory Fender Flares and Running Boards
My contact at WeatherTech advised that you can use their 4-piece mud flap set # WT110026-120026 on your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup with factory fender flares and running boards as long as you have at minimum 2-inches of space between the front edge of the running boards and the rear edge of the front wheel wells. The mud flaps you referenced, part # WT120024, only fit trucks without the fender flares.
