Hello, neighbor, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Boat Trailer Winch rated for 1,000 pounds. Folks, this is a ratcheting hand-style winch. Gonna let you load your boat onto your trailer. You would need to purchase separately either a strap or a cable. Those are sold separately here at etrailer.com.
And basically, you then mount your handle on here per the instructions, and then you'll be able to either crank in or out. (winch clunking) And load or unload your boat. Now, you simply move the spring-loaded latch here, forward or back to go in or out. (winch clinking) And if you wanna go to like a free-spool mode, as I call it, you simply just put it right in the center and then you can go either direction easily, and then just lock it in to then go the other direction you need to go. 1,000 pounds capacity, it's a 4.1-to-one gear ratio, and this handle overall is 9 7/8 inches long, and as far as the bottom base here for mounting it, I got right at 5 1/4 long by 3 1/2 wide.
Now, I wanna point out, you got an oblong-shaped hole here and two on the bottom, that's for mounting it. So, whenever you put this in place on your boat trailer, you're gonna have some side-to-side movement and up and down as far as that much give if you will, as far as mounting it. So, then obviously, you tighten your bolts down and then it's not gonna move obviously at that point, but that gives you the flexibility to mount it on pretty much any trailer out there, and then you should be able to tighten everything up and go on your way. So, a nice zinc finish on the side that's gonna keep it from rusting anytime soon and everything, so it gives you a nice zinc-plating coating there for sustainability as far as keeping rust and corrosion off. And that's gonna wrap it up, folks, for our quick look at this Boat Trailer Winch rated at 1,000 pounds capacity.
I'm Steven, thanks for watching and stay safe on the water.
