This king pin lock has a disc tumbler locking mechanism. Unlike locks that use vulnerable spring-loaded pins, this ultra-secure lock is bump-proof. The cylinder has a series of rotating discs that can be correctly lined up only when you turn the corresponding key. Two identical notched keys are included to operate the lock. Because these keys feature 1 of nearly a million possible key codes, it's extremely unlikely that another individual will have a key that can open this lock.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this AMPLock king pin lock for your PullRite and Sidewinder fifth wheel pin boxes. This tamper resistant sturdy lock is going to deter trailer theft by preventing hookup and this lock surrounds your fifth wheel trailer's king pin preventing wouldbe thieves from hitching your trailer to their tow vehicle. And I have an example of a king pin here and as you can see this is going to surround that king pin and I have this in the locked position. Before our time together I turned the lock with the key into the locked position. And if you will notice here this has a push and lock cylinder.
So this is going to lock without the need for the key. And as you can see that is locked and secured around that king pin. Two keys are included and this is going to be very easy then to unlock. So just insert one of the keys, turn it and then pull that lock out. And then that's going to allow you to pull this off of your king pin so you can hopefully see that bolt in there that's going to lock the king pin in the lock.
So again, I'm going just to turn this to the locked position and this will go up and around your king pin. Push that in and your locked. So very simple, very easy, very smooth operation. I'm just gonna go ahead and unlock this. Insert my key all the way.
There we go. Pull that pin out. And simple as that. Now the rotating disc tumbler lock is going to provide maximum security. There are nearly a million possible key codes so it is extremely unlikely that another person will have a key that can open this lock and this will be resistant to picking, drilling.
And unlike locks that use a vulnerable spring loaded, use vulnerable spring loaded pins, this ultra secure lock is going to be bump proof. Now you will want to keep your key tag, which is right here. You'll wanna keep this in a safe place to get additional keys. And this is going to be great for PullRite and Sidewinder pin boxes. And this is constructed of a sturdy steel construction, so it's very durable. And then it has an e-coat finish that's going to resist rust and corrosion. Now lemme give you some measurements here that might prove helpful for you. Looking at the inner diameter, let me line this up so you can see that my ruler lined up in there. The inner diameter, we're sitting right at around 2-13/16 inches on that inner width or inner diameter. And then the inner height, lemme just drop this in here. Looks like we're sitting right at 3-1/4 inches on that inner height. Well that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Great lock! Your rv will be safe from thieves with this on your 5th wheel. It is VERY heavy and well made. Sometimes you have to hold your mouth just right when taking on and off,
The king pin lock is very substantial and would be most difficult to remove without a torch. It's also easy to install and remove. Although it is more costly than the others, my peace of mind is worth it.
This lock is very impressive . Easy to use and works as advertised. Also, the service from Etrailer is second to none. I store my fifth wheel and this lock is very heavy duty. Nothing is 100% effective but this lock is very hard to tamper with compared to others.
The kingpin lock is doing fine. I don't use my 53ft dry van much now, but I am comfortable knowing that the lock is in place, working, preventing an easily stole trailer. Thanks.
I love this. It is definitely made for the Pullrite and the capture plate. Nice fit and it looks great instead of those gaudy yellow locks. This makes me feel as though my trailer is nice and secure too.
The lock is rock solid. I'm glad I purchased the lock for my 5th wheel RV trailer. Some of the locks out there a cheep. Not this one. You get what you pay for and this one does The job .

Happy with this product! Although a couple week delay from the factory I was kept in the loop via email. This product is solid, clean and heavy duty. Although I know this is only a deterrent, I believe this product is superior than others on the market!

This is my second Amplock and this one is a winner too. There's no way it's coming off without a fight. The lock spins like glass and only way the pin won't come out is if the little weather door gets in the way. You won't have to touch the grease and it isn't showing any rust at all.
So far, it's been great, I've had it for about a year. No attempts of theft. If you use a lube plate, you'll need to remove it to install the lock.

Tried 2 other brands. They wouldn’t fit. Then I realized the catch plate might be the cause. Tried this one and went right on like a glove eTrailer was great on my return on first attempt.
Fit very well. Just had a little problem with the key # and key code. Doesn't designate which is which. Also, the warranty did not have my product listed on drop down list. But other than warranty registration all is great. Customer service was prompt and attentive.. amp lock received before expected delivery date.
