Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this MORryde Tailgate Reinforcement Kit for the Jeep Wrangler, TJ. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1997 to 2006 Jeep TJ Wrangler and Wrangler unlimited vehicles, and on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle. It'll show you if this'll work for your application.

Now, everybody usually wants larger, more aggressive tires on their Jeep, but the factory tailgate isn't up to the task of carrying heavier spares. And the heavier spare that's on the stock tailgate could cause that tailgate welds to break and the hinges to sag and rattle. This nice heavy duty tailgate reinforcement kit provides support to carry a heavier spare tire. Does include everything laid out here on the table here. It'll include the tailgate plate, which is this section right here.

It includes the tub reinforcement plate. This one right here, and they are both a quarter inch thick steel plate. Just wanted to show you we're going to zoom in, show you what we're talking about. It's very heavy. And if you look at it, it's a quarter inch thick.

Very heavy steel reinforcement plate. Now this does also come with the heavy duty hinges. Right here, comes with the roll bar bracket the offset brackets with the snubber spacers, and the hardware for installation comes with a nice set of instructions, that'll describe how this all goes together. Now, the frame will accommodate factory and aftermarket spare tire carriers. It is compatible with the factory spare tire carrying up to a 33 inch size tire.

And what's nice when this is installed it does retain the factory look of the Jeep. This will work with both factory and aftermarket bumpers. The hinges we mentioned, again, just to show you those. They use these three eights in size stainless steel pins, and on the inside of the hinge, if you look on the insides right there you'll see a grease zerk fitting and that's for putting a grease gun on and lubricating to help extend the hinge life. Now, this is a very easy installation. As we mentioned, comes with the included hardware. There's no drilling required, and these parts are made in the USA.
