Tailgate Reinforcement For 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ

Question:
I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler. Im running 31x10.50R15 BFG Goodrichs All Terain on my Jeep. I currently have an undersize tire on my spare tire rack. Do I need any type of reinforcement on my Jeep if I put a 31x10.50R15 on the current OEM Jeep spare tire rack? If so what do I need? There are two types of MorYDE racks/parts on your website. What would I need? thanks!

It is definitely a good idea to reinforce the tailgate on your 1997 Jeep TJ since you are getting a large, heavy spare tire. The best option for this is a kit from MORryde:
- Tailgate Reinforcement Kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ # MR98MR
This kit comes with a reinforcement for the tailgate, as well as heavy-duty hinges that will allow the added support you need for your tailgate. I have added links below to the installation instructions for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
