Today we're going to be taking a look at the Alabama color shield 2" hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride, it's also going to add a finished look to your vehicle, to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coated finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. We're going to have the color emblem with a nice chrome plated border that's going to have a nice protective coating over it so it's going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design. The product's made right here in the USA. It is an officially licensed product. Here on the back side we're going to have a really nice foam gasket, just slides over the piece that goes into the opening of the hitch.
That foam gasket's going to really help reduce rattle between the hitch and the hitch cover. This does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for complete installation. Those items are sold separately but if you're in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept a standard " diameter pin. To go over some measurements real quick, starting here at the front face with the width it's going to measure about 5" wide. The height is going to measure about 3".
The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole is going to be pretty close to 2". This is designed for a 2" by 2" hitch. Pretty simple installation, just slide it into the receiver tube, push it in until your pinholes lined up and secure it with the hitch pin and clip or hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Alabama color shield 2" hitch cover from AMG. .

That was awesome by itself and then upon opening it up, I was surprised of the quality of this product, very heavy duty and with the rubber gasset it's a perfect tight fit! I've seen other trailer covers that looked very cheap and cheaply made, but this one is the real deal! RTR...

The hitch cover is perfect in detail,powder coated with U.S.M.C.enblem and fits a 2" trailer hitch.
Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

A great hitch cover that complements the truck and military license plates on the truck. it reflects the pride we all have for our military service.
Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.
I took about a month shopping before I purchased. The one thing I didn't want was a cheap plastic hitch cover representing my team. I love this hitch cover because it is high quality and really stands out. After having it a year it still looks like it did the day it arrived. Thank you etrailer for outstanding quality.
