Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Alabama Color Seal Emblem 2" Hitch Cover

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Alabama color shield 2" hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride, it's also going to add a finished look to your vehicle, to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coated finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. We're going to have the color emblem with a nice chrome plated border that's going to have a nice protective coating over it so it's going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design. The product's made right here in the USA. It is an officially licensed product. Here on the back side we're going to have a really nice foam gasket, just slides over the piece that goes into the opening of the hitch.

That foam gasket's going to really help reduce rattle between the hitch and the hitch cover. This does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for complete installation. Those items are sold separately but if you're in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept a standard " diameter pin. To go over some measurements real quick, starting here at the front face with the width it's going to measure about 5" wide. The height is going to measure about 3".

The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole is going to be pretty close to 2". This is designed for a 2" by 2" hitch. Pretty simple installation, just slide it into the receiver tube, push it in until your pinholes lined up and secure it with the hitch pin and clip or hitch lock.
