Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this heavy duty heat gun. This is going to give us a solid stream of heat for thawing our pipes, or if we're doing some projects that need shrink-wrapped or heat shrink connectors on them. This is going to give us a temperature range between 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit up to 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit. You can see, we do have a three position switch here. So, off is there in the middle.
If we push down, that's going to give us our cool blower feature, so we can cool off our nozzle. And then, we also have our heat feature there. Our nozzle is a one inch diameter airflow nozzle. We also have this detachable, non-slip, steel base that we can attach to three different positions so that we can use this hands-free so we can keep our hands focused on whatever it is that we're using this on.Obviously, if you're wanting to use this for thawing pipes that are frozen over, you can just leave this on them, but you will want to make sure to keep an eye on them. You don't want to leave it unattended. It's very, very hot. This does also have the adjustable ventilation shutters so that you can choose how hot you want it to get.
So if you have it wide open, that's going to be a bit cooler than if you have it reduced like that. You don't want to have it all the way closed because then it can wear out the heating elements inside. You are going to have a six foot, three prong power cord. Plug it into your wall outlet. Now this is going to run on 13.5 amps with a wattage of 1,600 maximum power output. This is going to provide six standard cubic feet per minute, or SCFM of air delivery.
So plenty of output to make sure that that heat is going where we need it to.And this is a nice, heavy duty, die cast housing with the aluminum nozzle there, so it should last a nice long time. Hold up well, and get the job done when you are needing to heat things up quickly. So that's going to complete our look for the heavy duty heat gun. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
