Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this GE Appliance's 15,000 BTU Black Deluxe Plus RV air conditioner with heat pump. Now this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner to your RV's ducted or ductless system in your medium to large-size camper. This 15,000 BTU-per-hour air conditioner is going to cool down the inside of your RV or camper evenly and efficiently. And the built-in heat pump is going to be great for those chilly mornings, all from a brand name that you know and trust. Now this does use the more energy efficient R 32 refrigerant, which is going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations.
So, because of that, this will not be backwards-compatible with any air conditioning system from 2024 and earlier. Now this is going to be just for the air conditioner unit itself. This does not include the air distribution box, the control box, which is also the brains of the operation and the thermostat. So, if you don't have those items, you will need to have those as well to complete the system. They all need to be R 32-compliant and compatible with this air conditioner.
So, if you need all of that and you don't have it, the good news is we do have complete systems available here at etrailer.com from GE. So you can find on our website the air conditioner unit that's gonna work best for you with the appropriate air distribution box, whether that's gonna be for a ducted or ductless system, the control box and the thermostat. You can find those complete systems here if you're in need of that. Now this won't include the bolts for installation. Those bolts do come with the air distribution box that is going to work best for your particular camper.
So this is gonna fit roofs from two to six inches thick with an opening size of 14 3/8 inches long by 14 and 3/8 inches wide. The overall length of this unit is gonna be 32 13/16 inches long. The overall width is gonna be 26 1/8 inches wide. The overall height is right under 14 inches tall and the overall weight is gonna be right under 80 inches, 80 pounds rather. Now this is going to run quietly and because the motor has sound-dampening grommets to help reduce annoying humming and vibration.
This does include a heat pump as I mentioned. As you probably know, that heat pump actually pulls warmth from the air to heat and warm up the inside of your RV or camper on those chilling mornings. And this is gonna be a pretty easy swap for most RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof-vent opening. There are foam pads underneath, and, of course, the gasket as well that's going to go over the opening of your roof. So, those foam pads are gonna do a great job of preventing vibration and rattling as this is installed and mounted on the roof of your RV or camper. This is built tough for the road. This is constructive high-grade materials that are designed to withstand extreme UV rays and that constant vibration you get from going down the road. This (knuckles rapping) black, hard automotive-grade polymer shrouds are gonna protect the internal components from water and debris. It can also be easily removed if you ever need to do any cleaning or maintenance. There's four Phillips-head screws, two on each side, so very easy to remove and replace. This also includes the wiring harness, which is tucked up underneath the unit and on your screen I'm showing you those plugs there. So you'll just pull that harness down from underneath this unit through the roof-vent opening to plug that in. And you do wanna keep the rear of this air conditioner at least 18 inches away from any obstructions for that proper air flow. So, again, this is from a trusted name brand, GE, which is known for appliances inside the home, inside the kitchen. So you're gonna be bringing that same trust and reliability into your RV and we do have other options available, as well. So, if you're looking maybe for a white cover on the air conditioner over black, and again, complete systems, we do have all those options and more available here at etrailer.com from GE. If you do decide that this is going to be the one for you, that's great. We would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with the installation and operation. And you can do that by sharing a comment or a review on this product page. We would love to hear back from you regarding your experience. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
A/C works great. Easy install.
