Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Coleman Mach Roughneck Mach 15, 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner with this polished white shroud. Now at 15,000 BTU, this is going to give you about 10 to 12% more cooling power than a 13,500 BTU unit, which is gonna be helpful in larger RVs like 30 feet long and longer, and especially if they have slide outs or on those hot, humid climates where that extra capacity is going to keep your RV more comfortable. Now this Roughneck series is specifically designed for those harsher environments. So if you travel in areas with extreme heat, lots of dust or rugged terrain, this unit is going to be made to hold up better than a standard rooftop air conditioner. This has a sturdier build and reinforced component, so it's not going to get rattled apart as easily on bumpy back roads.
For instance, this has a brace plate assembly inside that's going to secure the condenser coil and compressor from high vibrations and also has a welded wire compressor clamp that's going to actually limit the motion of the compressor. Giving you some measurements here, the overall dimensions end to end, we're sitting a little over 38 inches long. The overall width is gonna be a little over 26 inches wide. And this is a medium profile unit, so the overall height is gonna be pretty close to 14 inches tall. This is going to work with your standard RV rooftop openings that are 14 and a quarter inches by 14 and a quarter inches.
And this weighs about 85 pounds. So this rooftop air, this is a rooftop air conditioner only, and it's going to be compatible with both ducted and ductless systems. It's the air distribution box that's going to determine whether that cooled air gets distributed throughout your existing vents, which would be a ducted system, or just plunges straight down, that would be a non-ducted system. So you're gonna pair this with a compatible Coleman Mach air distribution box and thermostat if need be to complete your cooling setup. Now, I do wanna point out that this is not going to be backwards compatible with the AC system from 2024 and earlier due to the new R32 refrigerant that this air conditioner unit uses to meet the 2025 EPA regulations.
So if you have a air distribution box and a thermostat, but it is from 2024 or might be older than that, more than likely this is not going to be compatible with this unit since this does use the R32 refrigerant. So I would recommend taking a look at our kit options for this unit that you. We do have kits that either come with a air distribution box that'll work with your ducted or ductless system and a thermostat if you need it. So I would recommend giving us a call here at etrailer.com and we can help you determine the best way to go, the best way for you to take in case you're looking for some more options or further direction. I did want to show you the wiring harness here and what that plug looks like.
That'll plug into the compatible air distribution box. And the streamlined medium profile shroud here is gonna help reduce drag. It's gonna look pretty nice, aerodynamic on top of your unit. This is a polished white finish, as I mentioned, and so that polished white or that shiny texture is gonna be along the sides, the front, and then on the top and the back, we have more of a matte textured finish. So it's really kind of a two-tone finish here. And if you notice the cover is not like really hard. There is kind of some give to it, so I think it's going to be a little more impact resistant than maybe some other shrouds and covers that are a whole lot more rigid and tough. But I think overall it's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from water, debris, and things like that. And like I said, if you think that you're gonna do better with a kit and not just this AC unit, we would love to help you, whether it's over phone, email, or chat to get the system and the kit that's gonna work best for your particular setup. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
