Will The Low Profile Advent AC Replace A Dometic Penguin II?

Will this Advent unit mount directly on a ducted Domentic Penguin II 14 1/4” x 14 1/4” ducted opening? I plan on using the Advent single zone thermostat to control it by installing new wiring between the AC and thermostat.

Hi Bob!
The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner - 15,000 Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - R32 - AC Unit Only # ADV58SR will indeed fit the 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" hole that your Dometic Penguin is currently using. That is the standard cutout for roof top AC units, and the Advent conforms to the standard as well. However, with the new R32 coolant regulations, you cannot mix and match parts. So with that said, you will need the new roof top unit, wall thermostat, and ceiling distribution box. We actually have the whole kit and kaboodle as a kit that I have below:

This will get you everything you need to get it up and running, plus a start capacitor (see included image), which is always a nice thing to have.
