Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this InfiniteRule Trailer Tongue Latch Lock for your Posi-Lock Coupler. Now, this lock is made specifically for trailers that use a straight-tongue Posi-Lock coupler, and this is going to fit that setup that this has been designed for really well. And what this does is simple, but obviously very important. This is going to keep your coupler latch from being lifted when your trailer is parked, which is gonna help prevent someone from unhitching it. This uses 1/4 of an inch pin, and I wanna put my ruler up here just to show you the usable span you have there.
So as you can see, inside to inside, it's 3/4 of an inch of a usable span. So this is going to engage the latch properly. It's gonna stay secure without any looseness. You're gonna get two keys, they're keyed-alike. I'm gonna stick one of these keys in here to unlock this.
And what you're gonna do is turn the key counterclockwise, like you're loosening a bolt until this just comes apart, just like that. And if you notice on the inside here, we do have an O-ring on the inside that's gonna help keep water, dirt, and grime out. So you're not gonna have to worry about that getting jammed up or anything like that. But then when you put this back together around that latch to lock it into place, you're just going to then turn the key clockwise like you're tightening up a bolt. And then once it's tight, which it's tight, you're going to line up the key, so the nearest set of hash marks around the ring.
So I'm gonna back it off just a little bit, line it up to the hash marks there. And then that's going to allow me to remove the key. And we've got this tethered cap here that's going to keep that keyway clear. (lock clattering) You're not gonna have to worry about your getting jammed up or stuff in there to where he can't put the key in all the way. This is all made out of machine stainless steel, so it's gonna hold up really well against rust and general wear over time.
But if you happen to have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
