When your parked trailer can be quickly hooked up and driven away, it becomes an easy target. This lock fits over Gen-Y Executive, Nomad, Spartan, and Viking gooseneck couplers to block the connection, so your trailer stays where you left it.
When a trailer is left unhitched, the coupler is the fastest way to take it. This lock fits over the gooseneck coupler and fully blocks the connection point, stopping a quick hookup before it starts. With the hitch point covered, your trailer stays right where you left it, so when you step away your attention stays on the job, the ride, or the people you came with, not back on the parking spot.
Common locks can fail fast when someone shows up with cutting tools. This one is built differently. Hardened cast steel radial fins shield the embedded lock body, and the honeycomb design helps resist saws and grinders. That added resistance keeps the coupler covered longer during an attack so you're not counting on luck, and you're not stuck thinking about what could be happening while you're away. You set it, walk off, and stay focused on what you came to do.

Basic lock cylinders can be picked, drilled, or frozen until they stop working. This one uses a stainless steel disc-detainer core that resists drilling, picking, and freezing, and it does not rely on lots of small parts that can get gunked up. You can come back, unlock it, and get moving with the key instead of fighting a seized lock.
Rain, road grime, and temperature swings can wear down exposed hardware and jam the mechanism. A stainless steel lock body, corrosion-resistant e-coat, powder coat, and weather protection seals guard against corrosion, UV damage, dirt, and moisture. The lock keeps operating outdoors, so it still opens and closes when it is time to hitch up.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Gen Y Hitch Guardian Lock. Now this lock is designed to keep your trailer exactly where you left it, and this is going to fit over certain Gen Y hitch gooseneck couplers, specifically the Executive, Nomad, Spartan and Viking models. And this is going to block anyone from being able to hook up and tow your trailer away. Now what makes this stand out is how tough it is.
The body is built from hardened cast steel, and it has these protective fins around the lock that's gonna make it much harder for someone to cut or break into with power tools. The actual lock core is stainless steel, so it's going to hold up really well against weather, corrosion, and extreme temperatures. And on top of that, this is sealed to keep out moisture and debris, so it's gonna stay functional in rough conditions. And I'm going to remove this core, as you can see here, this bolt if you will, and it does have a ring around it to keep that keyway clean. You are gonna get four keys, and of course everything is keyed alike.
So I'm just gonna take one of the keys here, see if I can see what I'm doing, stick the key in, give it a turn. And once I do that, that's going to allow this, let me bring that back up again here. There we go. That's going to allow this to drop just like that. So as you can see, that's drop down flush.
And then you're gonna be able to hook this around your coupler, and once you have that around your coupler, you'll push that pin back in, that lock, give this key a turn to lock that back into place, and then replace the bolt just screwing it on, just like that. And then this will be locked around your coupler. So that's how easy this is going to be to use. And it's nice that this comes with four keys because you're gonna have backups in case you happen to lose one. Or you can give one of the keys to whoever you're traveling with in case they need to get access to your trailer.
This is built to last long term. There is a corrosion resistant E-coating that's gonna cover every part of the metal, even the small crevices, and a powder coat on top of that that's gonna help prevent chipping, scratching, and general wear. So whether it's sitting in the sun, rain, or snow, it's made to handle it. Security wise, this is a step above your typical trailer locks. Instead of a standard pin or tumbler design, this uses a disc detainer core, which is much harder to pick or drill, and it also makes key duplication much more difficult. That's gonna add another layer of protection. And since it doesn't rely on a bunch of tiny internal parts, you're gonna be less likely to run into issues with freezing or dirt buildup over time. But this is a premium security option. I think it's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that was helpful for you. Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Just bought it. Fits like a glove !
I feel secure now!!
