Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our two inch Weigh Safe Stainless Steel Tow Ball, rated at 10,000 pounds. So, folks, this is a replacement hitch ball, a two inch, rated 10,000 pounds capacity, just like it says on the head there. It's going to be a replacement for that Weigh Safe Ball Mount, and provide that connection point for your trailer's coupler to attach onto. It fits inside the hitch ball mounting platform, and as you know, the pin goes through the back into the ball head here and holds it in place. It's made of stainless steel construction.
(ball mount thuds) Super strong, super sturdy, corrosion-resistant, as it's stainless steel. You don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, those kinda things, and again, this is a direct replacement from Weigh Safe, so you can be sure it's gonna work with those Weigh Safe Ball Mounts. Impressive workmanship. Very heavy, solid unit. The components fit together perfectly, no slop - excellent machining. It will make switching between my camper, boat and trailer, and car trailer with the proper tongue weight easy and worry free. I can even hook up to friends equipment easily. I just like the peace of mind that comes with knowing a proper tongue weight is always in place. I bought the 1-7/8 inch ball just in case. I also bought the hitch lock and pin lock set so the unit doesn't get "misplaced".
I was told that the weight safe was to much money. I bought one of those that has 3 balls system that was heavy chuck of steel,and it didn't have the drop I needed. The weight safe works great it has the drop I needed. And I don't need a tractor to help me put it on my truck. It's worth every penny that I paid for it. And the two people that told me weight safe was to much money has bought them a weight safe.
And I also like the gage to see how much tough weight I have. Buy one you won't regret it.

Bought this to go with my WeighSafe drop hitch. It came with 2” and 2-5/16”, so I added this just in case....never know when you might need to tow a small trailer and need the small ball. Drops right in to the hitch head.
It's a great system and I love having the three most common ball sizes so I'm ready to tow just about anything. With a load-distribution hitch and a 2.5" receiver (and a reduced sleeve to 2"), I'm the friend everyone wants to have! You've made it easy to tow safely and with the confidence that the job will get done right!
Each of the Weigh Safe stainless steel hitch balls are high quality. I ordered the 1 7/8" hitch ball to round out my towing ability when I purchased the Weigh Safe system. Although the original shipment had the wrong 1 7/8" hitch ball, etrailer corrected the error by sending me the correct ball.
I lost my original hitch ball that came with my original hitch. Went back to etrailer and luckily i was able to order the ball itself without having to purchase the entire hitch. Thank Etrailer for making it simple!
10" drop/11" rise changeable ball hitch. Excellent, efficient, practical. Thats the "one word" I would use to describe this hitch. The barrel lock on both the adjustable hitch, as well as the optional locking hitch pin are solid and unclunky. The ball changes take seconds too. I have 3 different trailers with different tongue heights and ball sizes. Now I don't have to unmount one threaded ball for an other one. No more impact gun, or, the inconvenience of not having one available for ball changes. No more trailer tilt while towing either. This hitch makes towing a more convenient, enjoyable exercise. It's also a work of art. 5 stars all the way.
I wanted the Weigh Safe Ball Mount so I could stop guessing what the tongue weight was. Now I can tow with confidence that my trailer is properly loaded and balanced. The unit is obviously well-made and heavy-duty. My only complaint is that since there are so many "moving parts" (the receiver bar, the ball mount, and the ball) the whole assembly is loose. This causes a lot of movement and noise while towing. Nevertheless, the looseness doesn't seem to affect towing performance.
I drive a Wrangler with a low tongue weight limit. This WeighSafe hitch makes tongue weight easily readable. It's not cheap, but I like the use of non-corrosive materials and thick aluminum parts. The balls are solid stainless steel, not just chromed like cheaper hitches. I bought the optional 1-7/8 ball so I can travel with all three sizes. I have had many people ask "what's that gauge on your hitch", It's fun to answer that it's a live tongue weight measurement.
So far so good. The ball has been great with one exception. It is constantly getting covered in a gray/black coating. I have to keep a rag in the truck to wipe it down before storing or changing a ball. I really like the ability to not only chose 1 7/8, 2 or 2 5/16 balls but also to adjust the height for each trailer. I use the weight measurement when loading snowmobiles or 4-wheelers on the trailer to make sure I get enough tongue weight. My Weigh Safe hitch does seem to underreport the weight by about 50 lbs.
I added this well made, quality Hitch Ball to complete my collection of Balls for my Weigh Safe Hitch system! The price point was right and customer service is outstanding also.

The 1 7/8" ball that fits the Weight Safe Ball Mount is a necessity if you ever pull a small, lightweight trailer. It should be standard with the ball mount kit. Why offer an incomplete kit? With that said, the ball is of substantial build and deserves 5 stars. I expect it will outlive me.
I bought this ball to complete the set for the WS6-25 2 ball hitch so I will be able to pull any trailer that takes a 1 7/8 inch, 2 inch, or 2 5/16 ball. This ball appears to be the same high quality as the two that came with the hitch. Very happy with my purchase.
I purchased this to mate with he 25-10 hitch. It rounds out the set that includes that 2 inch and 2 5/16 ball. The combo is a perfect fit for my stock Ram 3500 4x4 (man are these trucks tall). I have the 6.4 gas engine so the 14,000 capacity of the hitch (when paired with the large ball) matches perfectly with my truck's towing capacity. I still have to watch the hitch weight though as this hitch is way more capable than the 1400 lb tongue weight on my bumper. My weight gauge differs slightly in graduation and color (mine has no green color indications to indicate a safe range or red for overload. The gauge has black and white graduations). Its not an issue, just thought buyers should know. This is a manly set of gear. Im positive that this will be the last hitch I ever purchase.
Took weeks to receive, and I need to take them to a machine shop to turn the stub down, as they are the wrong diameter for my hitch.
Purchased this 1 7/8" ball to go with my ball mount that came with 2" and 2 5/16" balls. Quality of this product and the ball mount is exceptional and I always recommend this product and etrailer to any asking my opinion of a good ball mount.
I bought this ball to round out the trifecta for the Weigh-Safe 2-Ball mount-2 1/2", 6" drop-7"rise 14.5K Hitch, so I can haul any trailer I may need to haul. It's the ball pictured in the mount.
Does not fit the Weigh Safe Weight Distribution Towing Hitch as recommended on the website.
