Features to know about

Keeps Every Trailer Level: 8" Drop and 9" Rise

Different trailers often sit at different heights, and matching them up right keeps everything level and stable. This adjustable mount gives you up to an 8" drop or a 9" rise so you can dial in the exact setup for each trailer. The ball mount platform slides in 1" increments along the shank, locked in with dual pins, so the adjustment stays tight and secure once set.

Tows Heavy Loads with Confidence: 12,500 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re hauling serious weight, strength matters most. The 2-5/16" stainless steel hitch ball is rated for 12,500 lbs gross towing weight, while the 2" ball handles up to 8,000 lbs. The solid block 6061-T6 billet aluminum shank keeps it strong yet lightweight, while the Cerakote coating adds another layer of durability against wear, chemicals, and corrosion.

Switches Between Trailers Fast: Dual Stainless Steel Balls

If you run more than one trailer, swapping between coupler sizes can eat up time. This setup has a double-sided platform with a 2" ball on one side and a 2-5/16" on the other. Flip it over to change ball sizes—no tools or loose parts to keep track of. Both balls meet SAE J684 and VESC V-5 standards for towing safety.

Stows Cleanly When Not in Use: Flip-Around Design

No need to pull the hitch out every time you’re done towing. Just remove the dual pins, flip the ball platform under the shank facing the vehicle, and pin it back in place. It tucks neatly out of the way so you don’t catch your shin or clutter up the back of your truck when you’re not towing.

Built to Last Through Any Conditions: Black Cerakote Finish

Road grit, salt, and rain can eat through ordinary coatings fast. The matte black Cerakote finish on this hitch resists rust and chips from rocks or debris, keeping it looking clean and performing strong season after season. The stainless steel balls hold up just as well against corrosion for a setup that stays dependable over the long haul.

Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Trailer Hitch Ball Mount - 180 Hitch 2 Ball Mount 2 Inch Cerakote - WS83VR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your two inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you a two inch and a 2-5/16 inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball, making switching tow balls very easy for you. So you can tow different trailer types, whether it's a smaller utility trailer, a camper, or a boat trailer. This dual functionality is going to eliminate that need for multiple hitches.

Now, this is also going to give you, in this, when you have the shank in this orientation, a maximum drop of eight inches. And then when you flip this over, a maximum rise of nine inches, with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is going to give you that adjustment that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights, all with the same vehicle. Now, with the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, the gross towing weight is going to be 12,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's gonna be 8,000 pounds.

And this unit has a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. Now, taking a closer look here, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. This features a really nice premium Black CERAKOTE finish. This is a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch really good to look at and not only is it gonna be really good looking on the back of your vehicle, but if you tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna do a great job of protecting this hitch, while at the same time looking good and keeping this working properly for many years to come.

Now, this also features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very simple. So I'm gonna take one of the four keys that's included here. I'm going to insert it there in the lock, give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily slide this out. And then I'm gonna go ahead and turn that key back to the lock position and remove the key. And while I have this lock out, I wanted to point out that our pins are aluminum, the housing is also aluminum, and then our lock is plated steel, so this is gonna be very durable.

It's gonna hold up really well against corrosion, but look at how smoothly our ball platform here is going to slide up and down this shank. So you're not gonna have to worry about this binding up on you or anything. And then another option I wanted to show you is this is also stowable. So if you are not going to be towing for a while and you wanna make sure that you don't accidentally hit your shins when you're walking behind your truck, you can put this ball platform behind the shank, underneath the shank here if you will, and then you'll just obviously line up the holes and replace the dual slider pin and then this ball platform will be out of your way and you'll have safe passage behind your vehicle. So that's gonna be very easy to do. So it's a great added feature. I'm gonna go ahead and flip this over to our two inch ball here and then just slide this back in like so. And then let me go ahead and bring this around so you can see. Now, if you remember, I turned the lock here back to the locking position and removed the key. So all I have to do now is line up these holes and then push it right in, and now we're locked into place, so I don't have to have the key, I don't have to keep the key in there to lock it, and then I'm just going to replace the included rubber cap that's going to protect that keyway and we will be good to go. So this is gonna be very easy to get the height adjustment and the ball size that you need. And as I mentioned, you are gonna get four keys. Everything is keyed alike, so one key is going to operate the dual pin slider lock and also this included hitch pin lock, which I think is a great addition to this setup here. So same thing, insert the key, give it a turn, that's going to unlock it. And then I'm gonna go ahead and turn that key back to the lock position, remove it. This does have an included cap here to protect that keyway. And so then when I'm ready to lock this back up, just slide that pin through, push it firmly, and then my trailer, my hitch is going to be secured to my trailer hitch receiver. So this comes with what you need to protect your investment. The locking dual pin slider lock is going to secure that ball platform to your hitch. And then the included hitch pin lock is going to secure the entire unit to the back of your vehicle, so your investment will be protected. So let me give you some measurements here. Measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting at about 8-1/2 inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9-5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1-7/8 inches. This is SAE J684 certified and VESC Regulation V5 compliant. So if you are looking for a hitch that's going to be a great long-term investment for you, that's going to give you flexibility, it's gonna give you safety, it's going to give you durability, especially with this great finish, and as you see, it's gonna be very easy to use, then this hitch is really going to be an excellent option for you to consider. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Missing parts and anti raddle would not fit my truck

Works like a charm exactly what I needed for my 2500 ZR2 Chevy Silverado. Having everything keto like is really convenient

This Cerakote finished W/S hitch is made in the USA and worth the extra cost IMO; recommend getting either the 6in or the 8in Drop for flexibility. 2200lb hitch and 18.5K LB tow rating is plenty for my RAM, 6.7 Cummins, 3/4 ton with 2.5inch receiver. I highly recommend this hitch.

Nice hitch, solid. Keys for pin and lock are keyed the same, so thats cool. 10" drop for my 2026 2500hd Silverado. Was probably more then I needed, 8" would have been close.

One thing with the 10" drop. The bottom is about even with the duel ball set up anyway, looks nice when stowed(reversed).

I recently used the Weigh Safe Cerakote Coated 180 Hitch with a 6" drop on a 1,300-mile trip, and it was fantastic. It handled everything—road grime, snow, salt, and mud—without ever looking dull or dingy.

The dual-ball design makes switching between trailers super easy, and the adjustable drop works perfectly to keep everything level. It was simple to install and felt solid and secure the whole trip. The locking pins kept everything safely attached to my truck, no worries about someone walking away with it. If you need a tough, reliable hitch that looks great and gets the job done, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
