Today, on our 2011 Kia Sedona, we're going to review an install. The Draw Tie Hitch, part number 75421. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once installed. The majority of our hitch is exposed underneath the lower fascia and body of the vehicle. Its got a nice stylish round cross tube, and it's a completely steel and fully welded construction. The entire hitch has a nice black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion over time. Here, at the receiver tube, we've got our half inch pin hole.
Additionally, we've have a half inch perineal hole for the j pin anti rattle bowl. On either side of the receiver tube, we've also got our chain hold down. This is a nice large, easy to use chain hold out. This is our class three two inch by two inch receiver tube, and it's capable above the three hundred fifty pounds of ton wright at thirty five hundred pound to capacity. Another nice feature about this hitch is the pre installed and secured electrical bracket.
This is for mounting any electrical accessories for your trailering and hitch options. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements. This will assist you with selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin holes, the automos edged to the bumper is five and a half inches. The top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is twelve and a half inches. Next, we'll go ahead and show you the minimum tools required for installing the hitch. We're going to use our half inch tube brush and a spray lubricant.
Three quarter inch socket, use an extension, ratchet, and then our torque wrench. Now let's go ahead and show you just how easy it is to install the hitch. Now, to begin our install, let's go ahead and point out the attachment points. Now, we're going to have a total of six attachment points, three on each side. These attachment points are weld nuts built into the frame by the manufacturer. So keep in mind, each process we do here on one side, we're going to repeat identically on the opposite side.
Now before we attempt to install the new hardware into the knew weld nuts, we're going to want to clean them out, because over time, the threads of the weld nuts will build up rust, dust, dirt, and debris which can make it difficult to install the new fasteners. So using a spray lubricant and our half inch nylon tube brush, part number 81492, will thoroughly clean the threads of the weld nut out before we attempt to install the new fastener. Now, securing our hitch will be the new twelve millimeter bolt and half inch inaudible 00:02:23 through the washer. The teeth of the washer will face the hitch and will go though the hitch and into the weld nut. We're not ready to go ahead and install the hitch. I'm going to take the passengers side and feed it up above the exhaust first. Then we'll rotate the drivers side up to the frame. Keep in mind, we'll install these faster in finger tight until we have them all in place. Now will all our hardware installed, we'll go ahead and tighten it down. Now, once all our hardware is tightened down, we'll go ahead torque to specification. Now do it for our review and install of the Draw Tie Class Three Two Inch Receiver Two Pitch, part number 75421, on our 2011 Kia Sedona.

This is the second time I ordered products from etrailer, and in both cases, service was excellent, as were the products. I installed the hitch receiver (Hidden Hitch) the day it was received, and will complete the wiring and brake controller install shortly.
As I had previously completed a similar installation on a 2008 Hyundai Entourage van, I am sure the quality of the products used, which are essentially the same for the Kia Sedona, will be fine. Your video instructions are very helpful too.
This is the third Hidden Hitch product I have purchased from eTrailer. The first two were good products, reasonably easy to install, and pulled well. Most importantly, being Hidden Hitch brand, most of the receiver was not visible. This product is very visible and should not have been sold under the brand Hidden Hitch. Considering that the same company makes Reese and Draw-Tite, they should have only sold that product. While this seems to work well, it is not hidden.
PS, I chose to avoid getting the Hidden Hitch wiring kit for this vehicle as well. I have leared through past experience that running a power line from the engine compartment to the rear of the car is a pain, and if I have to do that, I'll just pay some one to install a cheaper wiring package (which I did).

As advertised, direct bolt on with no modification large scale part removals or unusual body contortions required. Everything arrived ahead of schedule and without damage.
Great Product!! The holes actually lined up!! It's best to install on a NEW vehicle. Waiting until it has 50 K miles of road grime and corrosion makes it more of a challenge. On a clean vehicle the 30 minute install time would have been accurate.

Easy add to your EntourageTook me about 20 min to install. Everything lined up nicely and the 6 bolts went in easily. I had to push the tailpipe out of the way to access the bolt holes on the passenger side. It probably would have been easier to use a strap as shown in the video.

This rack works well provided you make sure there is enough clearance between the top of the rack and the back of your vehicle. There is more sway than you might expect from the rack even when it is in the locked position. I find using the first hole placement to work the best.
