Today on our 2003 Toyota RAV4, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 75125. This is what our hitch will look once it's installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the spare tire is 10 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15-1/2 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier.
Now, let's go ahead with the installation. Next, we'll go ahead and point our attachment points. Here are the two attachment points on the driver's side. It will be identical for the two attachment points on the passenger's side. Next, we'll go ahead and clean out the weld nuts.
To do this, well use a 1/2-inch nylon tube brush, part number 814092 and some spray lubricant. First, we'll spray that down and then clean out the weld nuts to break up any dirt, dust, and debris that might build up over time. All right, now that we have the weld nut cleaned out, I'll even go ahead and take one of the new bolts and thread it in to make sure it will go nice and easily. Once we complete this for all four weld nuts, we're ready to install the hitch. To install the hitch, we'll use the new hardware, the 12-mm bolt and a 1/2-inch conical toothed washer with the teeth of the washer facing the hitch.
All right, let's go ahead and put our hitch in place. We'll take all four fasteners and screw them in finger tight, and then we can go ahead and tighten them down. Next, we'll go ahead and torque each fastener to specifications as indicated in the instructions. And that completes the install of our Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 75125 on our 2003 Toyota RAV4.

I found this very easy to install especially after watching the installation video it only took about half hour to do I have used it twice and I'm very pleased. I found the service, delivery and hitch all excellent.
The unit arrived in good shape via UPS ground shipping, although one end of the hitch had punched through the end of the box during handling. Installation was as easy as the demo video made it look with no clearance issues.

I had an email in my inbox from etrailer.com practically before I was finished placing the order. In three days I had a nicely packed box with everything I ordered delivered to my address. ALL of the items I ordered are beautifully made and of high quality. I watched the video on the Trailer Hitch installation which stated an approx. 30 minute installation time. If my torque wrench had not mysteriously disappeared, I would have been finished with the install in 15 minutes. Since I had to drive to our local Advanced Auto Supply and use one of their "lend for free" torque wrenches, It actually did take the full 30 minutes to install. Perfect. I've been looking for a hitch for my Rav and found this one. Honestly, it was too easy to install, so I only have pics of before installing and after. I think it took 25 minutes, tomorrow, the wiring harness. And I have taken the cardboard off. Enjoy.

I bought this for a 2004 Toyota Rav4. My 21 year old F-350 is rusting away and I wanted an alternate means for occasional, light duty hauling.
The hitch receiver arrived on time and was carefully packaged for shipment. Metal is hefty. Joints and welds look good. Had I unwrapped it before installation, I would have found the M12-1.25 bolts and studded washers which were stuffed inside the receiver proper.
I also bought the wiring harness. I'm a newbie and was rather anxious about prying the plastic body panels open for wire routing. Careful review of the video accompanying the written installation instructions suggested starting at the top and working down. It was straightforward.
Only glitch was that the wire bridging the driver and passenger sides was too tight for comfort. I spliced in an additional 8" and the system was working minutes later.
About an hour, altogether. If I do it again, it'll be 30 minutes or less

First off excellent service, I wanted the hitch on a particular day, and it was. Now the hitch, it is an excellent product, fit the vehicle exactly, and had the right hardware included, including the heavy duty washers. The hitch has a 2 inch receiver, and built very solidly, used a 3 way Reese ball, which slid into place and was able to use a large pin to secure. The whole thing start to finish was on in 10 minutes. Thank you etrailer, for an awesome experience.

After totaling our previous car (no injuries) we had to find a hitch for our 2004 Rav4.
Local trailer rental place wanted $400 plus for it w/install. Bought ours at etrailer.com for less than 1/3 of that. Prompt shipping, and less than 1/2 hour after we received it, we were good to go. Great price, good quality, prompt shipping... we love it!
Almost perfect for a 1997 rav4. The hitch didn’t quite fit at first, so I had to unscrew the mud flaps, install the hitch, then reinstall mudflaps over the hitch. Easy fix. The awkward back door on the Rav won’t quite close with the ball installed. But those are rav4 problems. Otherwise great product.
