With a 2" x 2" receiver opening, this Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the flexibility to tow or carry the gear you rely on most. Rated for 3,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 300 lbs tongue weight, it's built for light to moderate towing—whether that’s a small trailer, a boat, or a cargo carrier full of trip gear. The sturdy, square-tube design gives it solid strength you can count on every time you head out.
This hitch is made for a clean installation using the factory mounting points on your vehicle’s frame. No welding is needed—just bolt it up with the complete hardware kit that comes in the box. The precision, robotic welding ensures everything lines up right, making setup simpler for DIYers working in the driveway with standard tools.
Built from fully welded steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat, this hitch resists rust and corrosion even after years of weather exposure. The finish helps it maintain a clean appearance under your bumper, so it looks as tough as it performs.
The standard 2" receiver size works seamlessly with most bike racks, cargo carriers, and towing accessories. You can set it up for weekend rides with your bike rack or load up a cargo basket for long road trips—no adapters required. Ball mount, pin, and clip are available separately so you can configure it exactly how you want.

Looks great and fits perfectly.
Installation was a bit tricky but once installed it has a very nice look and is hardly noticeable when not in use.
Installation instructions are poor. Not enough detail and bad photos. Here are a few tips that may help others.
Step 2 photos imply moving the connector in the opposite way as the text. At least on my car, the connector was located on the rear, and you want it on the side.
Step 3 suggests temporarily installing a bolt into one remaining hole to keep the spacer from rotating. You definitely want to temporarily install BOTH remaining bolts before you tighten the spacer bolt. Otherwise the spacer can block the bolt holes.
If you're installing it solo, a floor jack helps get the hitch lined up for step 4. Be careful, because the passenger side bracket is close to the main power cable.
Finding the bolt holes blind is tricky. Start with the passenger side forward bolt - you can line the bracket up with the spacer. This will give you a sense of fore-aft alignment. Then do the forward bolt in the driver side. The rear bolt holes (at least on my car) are a hair higher, so the hitch was not quite lined up when resting on the frame rails. I had to play around with rotation using a floor jack to get the rear bolts lined up.
Packaging is also poor. Mine arrived loose in a box. Several spots were worn to bare metal and required touch-up paint. Thanks to etrailer for offering several solutions, including a $30 credit that I accepted.
Installation took some troubleshooting, but overall was a good product. We have a 2022 Kia EV6 "Wind" with all-wheel-drive, and the installation photos didn't very closely match our car. Specifically, there's a step to relocate a cable connector, but the place the instructions specified to move it to was unavailable (in use and/or blocked by other equipment). Fortunately we discovered that after installation, we were able to reattach it to the original mount and proceed with the installation.
(Installed on a 2024 Kia EV6) Once again, etrailer came through with fast shipping and a quality product! This was the 5th etrailer hitch I installed myself. Installation was fairly easy, but I recommend that etrailer print out the instructions in something other than black & white, since the pictures do not come out clearly. Had to pull up the Curt color PDF to be able to see the detail.
Nice sturdy construction. I will tow a small boat some and use a bike rack some on my Kia EV6
Well made and good value. Installation is a PITA and the instructions are very lacking, but overall I'm happy with the hitch.
Sturdy and solid but sits at a downward angle off the back of the car. 2 person install for sure with all the maneuvering to get it in place
The hitch worked as expected and was easy to install.
Note that when cutting the EV6 plastic splash shield, cut it to back to where it folds which isn't obvious from the instructions. I used a Dremel tool. The installation instructions on their website were in color to match the black&white ones included in the packaging. Having color pictures really helped.
