A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat keeps rust and corrosion in check, even after years of exposure. The welds were horrible on the actual receiver tube they were almost an inch tall and look like when someone tries to cover up porosity instead of grinding it out and rewelding it properly but it all fit and bolted up properly and looks good very good parts

Being in South Florida area close to the ocean saltwater has not affected this hitch at all very little rust on the receiving part of it strictly from Hitch going in and out easy six bolt installation three bolts on each side highly recommend ordering the trailer wiring kit the police pursuit vehicle does have the factory wiring harness tucked up behind the rear bumper easy install gives you both 7-way and four-way. Hitch does not sit lower than tailpipe therefore no worries about being too low to the ground. Excellent addition to anyone who owns a police pursuit Tahoe because they do not come with the hitch and its been working great for towing jet skis four wheelers golf carts and ATVs Into the Woods and Lake highly recommended super fast shipping great job etrailer
