This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you a solid foundation for towing and carrying gear. With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 500-lb maximum tongue weight, it’s ready for small campers, boats, or utility trailers. Using weight distribution, the capacity bumps up to 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most standard ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers, so you can easily swap between towing setups and accessories.
This hitch is built for folks who prefer to handle the install themselves. It bolts right onto the frame using the included hardware—no welding or drilling needed. Precision, robotic welding ensures everything lines up cleanly for a straightforward fit. It’s a sturdy, square-tube design that installs with basic tools in a driveway or garage.
The fully welded steel construction is finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer for superior corrosion resistance. That protective finish helps the hitch hold up against road salt, moisture, and everyday wear while maintaining a clean look under your bumper.

etrailer.com is AWESOME!! Ordered on Thursday, got my order on Tuesday. 20 minutes later my trailer hitch was installed. Everything fit perfect. Would I use etrailer.com again? Well thats a no brainer. This was my first time ordering from etrailer.com, but it won't be my last.
Both the trailer hitch and the wiring harness were a snap to install. The delivery was quick and the products are of excellent quality. Customer support was excellent as well. I would not hesitate to do business with etrailer in the future.
Product was as advertised. Initially I had ordered the incorrect hitch. I called etrailer and they were very helpful in cancelling the order and helping me get the correct hitch for my vehicle. They were excellent to deal with and would purchase from them again.

The Curt hitch for my '04 Frontier was installed in about 15 minutes; very smooth. The T-One harness took longer, but mostly to unplug the old harness and drill a hole for the ground. Both installations couldn't be easier. Products arrived from Etrailer as promised.

I ordered this hitch for a 2002 Nissan Frontier I recently purchased as a errand truck. The process of ordering was easy and gave confidence that I was ordering the correct hitch. I recently called etrailer and they helped me to order the proper parts for my Nissan truck. The order was shipped and received in 4 days. This hitch fit my 2002 Nissan Frontier XE without a hitch! All the bolt holes lined up with the frame. I could have installed it by myself with a small jack, but with two people, it was a snap. I've used it 3 times now to haul cross-country a 5X8 trailer packed to the gills... no sweat. Excellent product. Very good price.
My goal was to find a hitch that would be Easy To Install. I chose this one based on a hitch comparison page and other reviews. AND this was the lowest priced option! -- I timed myself. Note: I wasn't racing, just plugging along. From "tools ready" to all nuts "finger tight" : just under eight minutes. Adding proper torque to the nuts (I had unexpected trouble with my wrench) : 14 minutes, 35 seconds TOTAL install time. I'm thrilled with this. Later I showed my adult son and he laughed, saying that hitch looks stronger than my Nissan Frontier. I agree--it's a very heavy duty hitch.
Installed on my 2002 Nissan frontier and it matched the hole pattern perfectly. Used it multiple times towing my skiff and kayaks around south Florida. Held up great so far and would recommend it to others looking for a well constructed trailer hitch mount
The Curt trailer hitch receiver 13831 was easy to mount even by one person.
I used a floor jack and a piece of plywood to raise it up in my driveway. After lining up one side ,finger tightening the nuts ,moving the jack over to the other side and doing the same was able to torque the nuts . Every thing lined perfectly .

Great quality hitch. Only reason for not 4 stars is that it didn't quite fit perfectly on our older-model Nissan Frontier. It was just a little long and hit the bumper and when tightening the bolts, it pushed the bumper up and interfered with the tailgate opening all the way.
After some significant grinding on the bumper's interference points and adding some washers between the hitch and the frame, it worked out ok.
2004 Nissan Frontier Trailer Hitch. Good price and very easy installation without drilling. Works perfectly and is being used weekly. Customer service was quick to answer questions. This is the place to look first if you need a hitch.

Got this hitch for my 2004 Nissan Frontier. Fit is great - easy bolt-on upgrade. I much prefer having a proper 2" hitch receiver than using the ball on the bumper. Install was done in maybe 15 minutes.
It's the 2nd hitch I've gotten from etrailer, along with wiring harnesses and brake kits for 2 vehicles. Experience has always been great - excellent website for finding just the right part, competitive pricing, and fast free shipping for most orders. I'll continue to look to them first for towing and vehicle accessories.
There was some shipping damage when this part arrived, but not enough to justify contacting etrailer for replacement. (Box appeared to be dropped during transit - slightly bending one of the side flanges, so holes were misaligned) I was able to bend it back and complete install without any trouble.

Trailer Hitch is excellent. After one year of use, I have nothing but good things to say, perfect fit (Nissan Frontier), no rust, strong, ease of installation, clear instructions, etc. However, that is not the only important comment. I looked at similar products on the web before buying. Went to web sites, called other vendors, etc. Often, other vendors do not know what they are selling; in my case, their web sites did not agree what the customer rep would tell me on the phone, what two reps would say contradict each other, and so on. Many phone calls until I found etrailer. Their response was immediate, clear, superb. Not only that, they followed with suggestions and answered all my questions immediately and with clarity. I even found a perfect video of my exact truck on how to install. Judging with my experience, you cannot go wrong with these people, do not waste time elsewhere. Even more, they have good prices!

Everything is all right, thank you.
Once I found all my tools the install took about 30 minutes. The only issue (if you can call it one) I ran into was the stock tailpipe on my Frontier made it practically impossible to get the socket onto the far left-hand nut. All it needed was an extra helping hand to flex it away a half inch and I got it tightened up as well.
Looking forward to towing the boat this summer!

This trailer hitch is great! Everything went on just like the video showed. No holes to drill, I put it on with the wiring harness in 35 minutes, by myself. It looks great on my Nissan Frontier. It was very easy to install. The company shipped it on the same day, this was a great company to order products from. I plan on ordering more! Super easy to install, and a great company to order from!!!
Free shipping (over $100.00 order) always scores major points with me in this day-n-age. Very easy install with a piece of mind on towing our trailer. I was already doing some work on our truck hence the removed bumper...
I usually don't like advertising a company on anything that i owned BUT because of the options that etrailer.com offered me online; i don't mind their logo on the hitch.
PLUS being offered a payment plan is not too shabby either.
I believe that I'll be coming back to etrailer for more products.

My truck got hit again and that trailer hitch kept me from getting much more damaga than I did, Took it off and striaghtened the mounts and its back on the road
