The receiver was fairly simple to install even laying on your back. Only took 90 minutes tops. Would suggest a tork wrench for the final step to make sure it is tightened properly.
Fast Shipping! Although box was open when received all pieces were there. Took 25 minutes to install on my 2002 Nissan Frontier King Cab.
Very easy to install and comes with all hardwear needed, with air tools it takes under 10 min to install. My only recommendation would be to use red lock tight on the bolts to give that little extra securit that the bolts won't come loose

This trailer hitch is great! Everything went on just like the video showed. No holes to drill, I put it on with the wiring harness in 35 minutes, by myself. It looks great on my Nissan Frontier. Once I found all my tools the install took about 30 minutes. The only issue (if you can call it one) I ran into was the stock tailpipe on my Frontier made it practically impossible to get the socket onto the far left-hand nut. All it needed was an extra helping hand to flex it away a half inch and I got it tightened up as well.
Looking forward to towing the boat this summer!
Had to tweek one mount plate (used
a high-lift jack) but that took seconds and the rest took literally 4 minutes to mount. Solid hitch, and trailer is the only place to get towing stuff.

Trailer Hitch is excellent. After one year of use, I have nothing but good things to say, perfect fit (Nissan Frontier), no rust, strong, ease of installation, clear instructions, etc. However, that is not the only important comment. I looked at similar products on the web before buying. Went to web sites, called other vendors, etc. Often, other vendors do not know what they are selling; in my case, their web sites did not agree what the customer rep would tell me on the phone, what two reps would say contradict each other, and so on. Many phone calls until I found etrailer. Their response was immediate, clear, superb. Not only that, they followed with suggestions and answered all my questions immediately and with clarity. I even found a perfect video of my exact truck on how to install. Judging with my experience, you cannot go wrong with these people, do not waste time elsewhere. Even more, they have good prices!
Got this hitch for my 2004 Nissan Frontier. Fit is great - easy bolt-on upgrade. I much prefer having a proper 2" hitch receiver than using the ball on the bumper. Install was done in maybe 15 minutes.
It's the 2nd hitch I've gotten from etrailer, along with wiring harnesses and brake kits for 2 vehicles. Experience has always been great - excellent website for finding just the right part, competitive pricing, and fast free shipping for most orders. I'll continue to look to them first for towing and vehicle accessories.
There was some shipping damage when this part arrived, but not enough to justify contacting etrailer for replacement. (Box appeared to be dropped during transit - slightly bending one of the side flanges, so holes were misaligned) I was able to bend it back and complete install without any trouble.
Installed on my 2002 Nissan frontier and it matched the hole pattern perfectly. Used it multiple times towing my skiff and kayaks around south Florida. Held up great so far and would recommend it to others looking for a well constructed trailer hitch mount

My truck got hit again and that trailer hitch kept me from getting much more damaga than I did, Took it off and striaghtened the mounts and its back on the road
The Curt trailer hitch receiver 13831 was easy to mount even by one person.
I used a floor jack and a piece of plywood to raise it up in my driveway. After lining up one side ,finger tightening the nuts ,moving the jack over to the other side and doing the same was able to torque the nuts . Every thing lined perfectly .

Great quality hitch. Only reason for not 4 stars is that it didn't quite fit perfectly on our older-model Nissan Frontier. It was just a little long and hit the bumper and when tightening the bolts, it pushed the bumper up and interfered with the tailgate opening all the way.
After some significant grinding on the bumper's interference points and adding some washers between the hitch and the frame, it worked out ok.
2004 Nissan Frontier Trailer Hitch. Good price and very easy installation without drilling. Works perfectly and is being used weekly. Customer service was quick to answer questions. This is the place to look first if you need a hitch.
This hitch fit my 2002 Nissan Frontier XE without a hitch! All the bolt holes lined up with the frame. I could have installed it by myself with a small jack, but with two people, it was a snap. I've used it 3 times now to haul cross-country a 5X8 trailer packed to the gills... no sweat. Excellent product. Very good price.
My goal was to find a hitch that would be Easy To Install. I chose this one based on a hitch comparison page and other reviews. AND this was the lowest priced option! -- I timed myself. Note: I wasn't racing, just plugging along. From "tools ready" to all nuts "finger tight" : just under eight minutes. Adding proper torque to the nuts (I had unexpected trouble with my wrench) : 14 minutes, 35 seconds TOTAL install time. I'm thrilled with this. Later I showed my adult son and he laughed, saying that hitch looks stronger than my Nissan Frontier. I agree--it's a very heavy duty hitch.
I recently called etrailer and they helped me to order the proper parts for my Nissan truck. The order was shipped and received in 4 days.
