This Curt trailer hitch receiver is built for real towing. With a 2" x 2" opening, a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight, and a 500-lb maximum tongue weight (6,000-lb GTW and 600-lb TW when used with weight distribution), it’s ready for small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The sturdy square-tube design keeps things stable when you’re loaded up, and the fully welded construction gives you the strength and confidence to haul consistently.
You don’t need to weld or modify anything to get this hitch in place. It bolts directly to your vehicle’s frame using a complete hardware kit that’s included in the box. Was able to install within about 30 minutes and it matched up perfectly. Had to drop spare tire down long enough to bolt hitch on and then raise the spire tire back up. Perfect fit.

The shipment came very fast, and installation was relatively easy. The hardest part is trying to reach the top of the bolts to put the nuts on...which has nothing to do with this product, just the design of the vehicle! I would definitely purchase from etrailer again.

Hitch arrived extremely fast. With all parts. Simple instructions and easy to install. Didn’t have to drill any holes, matched up perfectly. It actually took me less time to install as it took for me to figure out how to lower my spare tire. Looks great and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I tried getting a hitch locally and they were all at least $100 more than etrailer. I got one form U-Haul for about the same price but they had to special order it and when it finally came in, it was the wrong one and was used! The how-to videos made installation a breeze and I did it in less than an hour.

This is a good, solid product; fit perfectly with the two thru-frame long bolts and one fully threaded bolt into the threaded hole-into-frame.
After some phanagling of the full-size spare tire on a chain, fit my '01 Montero Sport perfectly (as eTrailer predicted it would). thank you eTrailer! -jon
Awesome!!! Bolted right in place just like in the video. Looks really good on my Montero Sport. Price was right on. Shipping was alot faster than i thought it would be. Now ill be able to tow my war eagle boat. I wished that i would have bought the wiring harness and all as a package deal and saved a couple bucks.
I received the my trailer hitch earlier than expected, in 3 days instead of 5 to 7. It took me 30 minutes to remove the transportation hooks, 30 minutes to install the hitch. I am very satisfied with the product.
If you are not pretty handy, the wiring for the trailer is challenging. Figuring out how the wiring in the vehicle is routed and planning where/how to install the trailer kit is not for the faint of heart. One wire on the kit was about 2 feet short and needed a spliced extension.
The trailer receiver 13223 went in without a "hitch" and it looks great.
Excelent product, great service , fit it perfectly, 30 min , and was installed.
The hitch was easy to install. The bolts that came with it were too long si I had to purchase shorter ones. Other than that, no issues.
The hitch was delivered in 3 days and came with all the hardware needed to install it correctly. Had to push the spare tire a little forward and discard the tow hooks that were already on it but it all fit great, it took about 40 min to install it. I would say this is a great hitch.
I just wanted to say that I was really happy with this Trailer Hitch Receiver, and very very happy with the service I got from eTrailer. The hitch receiver was very easy to install. It took me less than an hour, but I was very happy with the results. I highly recommend this product, and etrailer for all my vechicle acessory needs.
