Hello neighbors. Today we're looking together at this Junior non-locking steel flush door latch. Folks, I am Steven here at etrailer.com. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video. Today we're getting into this plain, non-painted, non-corrosion finish door latch. So again, it has not been any kind of rustproof finish on it.
It's just a bare metal. Again, it's just a simple open and close latch here, and you can see the mechanism here. It's all spring loaded, very simple design, not much to it other than what it is, a latch. So this will mount into a two and three-quarter inch by three and three-quarter inch hole, or rectangle, if you will. Some dimensions on this guy.
Now I'm going from the outside all the way to the other outside. I'm getting four and three-quarter inches, and if I go this way, I'm getting about three and three-quarter inches. Now, going to the back, again, this recess part, that's the part where I was mentioning before. That's three and three-quarters by two and three-quarters. So again, not much to it folks, today, other than just a simple door latch.

I had searched for these trailer latches for almost a month and I finally found them on your website. I have a 1985 Arndt horse trailer that the latches were not opening properly so I was trying to find replacements.
A perfect fit. I drilled out the old pop rivets and put these in with nuts and bolts. Painted, looks great.

Just right. No problems
I used these latches on the upper rear doors of my horse trailer to replace similar latches that were worn through. They worked great. Installation was straightforward with a handheld drill. I would recommend these to anyone needing new latches for their doors.
