Today we're going to take a look at the Taylor Made seven and a half inch long annealed steel gas shock. Now this gas shock is designed to replace one worn out or damaged shock on your dock box or your boat hatch. This one's a coated annealed steel construction which provides corrosion resistance so it's perfect for high saltwater areas. It does install easily in minutes, no special tools required, just a screwdriver. And when you do install this you always want to install it with the rod portion facing down right here and it is recommended to replace gas shocks in pairs.Few specs again, the connection type is a removable 10 millimeter ball socket with the retaining clip. And I do want to zoom in just to show you, but basically what you'll do, if you notice right here there's a slot on either side.
You'd just put a flat tip screwdriver under there, pop up that retaining clip and that'll allow you to push it onto your 10 millimeter ball and then push the clip that found at a hold it into position. So basically just using a flat tip screwdriver is all you would really need to install this. Now the length on this and length is always measured from the center of this ball socket to the center of that one. So if we take a ruler and go center to center, there's your seven and a half inch length. The output force on this shock is 10 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made, seven and a half inch long annealed steel gas shock..
