Video Transcript for Mount: WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2022 Ram 2500

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2022 Ram 2500. These are just gonna be a good way for you to protect the inside of your vehicle. Say you're getting in and out of your car a lot, and maybe you have a job where your feet are getting a little bit dirty, or you live in an area that's prone to rain, snow, anything like that that involves tracking things into your car that you don't want to be there, these might be a good option for you. The mats are made of a rubberized thermoplastic material, which means that they're gonna be able to hold up to not only the elements, but also, anything that you're gonna throw at it, including repeated use, stepping on it with dirty or muddy boots. As you can see, these ridges are built in and are throughout the mat, so those are gonna funnel any liquid or debris that you bring in away from your feet, so you're not gonna track them around.

On the back, there are these built in anti-skid nibs that work to keep the mat securely in place. That and just the general shape of the mat will keep it from moving around too much, and you can see that the two red anchor points are there as well, which is how the mat is going to be stored in the vehicle when we install it, which we'll do now. The first thing we need to do and you might also need to do if you have just factory mats or you bought some already, but you're just replacing them, is to get the old mats out of the way, which is easy to do, just remove them from the anchor points and get them out. Now we have our old mats out of the way, we can go ahead and get our new mats installed, just weave them under the pedals, and because the shape is so form-fitting, it kinda just finds where it needs to be, but you might have to adjust it a little bit to get those anchor points in place. Once you do, you hear them snap in.

Just like that. Now the mat's in, you could see how it is raised all the way around, so if there is any liquid spilled in here, not only is it gonna funnel away from your feet, but it's not gonna be able to escape to anywhere else on the interior of the car. Installing the passenger's side mat is essentially the same thing as the driver's side, just fit it up there, find where it lies flushed with the interior, and lays on those anchor points, and once you're there, snap it into place, and that's it. Overall, these WeatherTech Floor Mats are gonna be a good option for you like I mentioned if you do have to get in and out of your vehicle often with dirty shoes, or you just have maybe a family that's prone to spills, anything like that, I think they're gonna do a great job of being able to just easily be removed and cleaned rather than something that might be carpet that's gonna be a little bit more difficult. I would say though that WeatherTech also offers a front floor mat that's connected and covers that middle hump, so if you're gonna spring for these, I'll maybe look into that, but these WeatherTech Front Floor Mats on our 2022 Ram 2500 are a good fit and a good option.
